SJVC Hyderabad Group - First meeting

Respected Sanjay Guru ji,

With your blessings and under your guidance, we conducted the first discussion meeting of SJVC- Hyderabad Group on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, from approx 4 pm to 7.30 pm.

Lakhsmi has prepared a brief account of the proceedings, which is copied below.

SJVC - Hyderabad Chapter-1st Meeting held on 24.02.2002

The meeting was attended by 4 members, namely, Shailesh, Partha, Nitish and Lakshmi. Satya Sai could not attend the meeting because he was out of station. However, he is keenly interested and has indicated that he would like to join the next meeting.

Before the start of meeting, all participants got mutually acquainted.

Meditation was conducted on the lines prescribed by Gurudev. Facing North-East, we placed Bhagavat Gita on a low table, lighted incense sticks and meditated silently, praying to our respective Ishta Devatas.

The following blind chart, provided by Shailesh, was taken up for analysis.

First, the vargottama Taurus lagna native’s physical characteristics were discussed. Then a discussion on how the lagna lord/ dispositor of lagna lord/ planets in lagna /navamsa lagna influence the physique of the individual.

Then the group talked about the impact of the nodes being placed in the 3rd house, and whether 11th or 3rd house denotes friends. Rahu in the 3rd might indicate differences with the sibling.

Special attention was focused on the 5th house, and the impact on progeny, due to Jupiter’s placement in 5th house along with Saturn (Yogakaraka) & Moon (Atmakaraka). The chart has Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn in retrograde motion, and Mercury’s parivartana with Saturn was also taken note of. Mercury (2nd & 5th lord) is in the 9th with Ketu, shows good dhana yoga and leanings towards spirituality. This noting is further corroborated by the 5th house.

The 10th house has Sun(4th lord) with Mars (7th & 12th lord) and Venus (lagna & 6th lord). This combination indicates a technical education, and with Venus’s influence, has a bit of aesthetics also thrown in. The native is at present finishing B.E (Architecture). Since the 4th lord is with the 12th lord, it indicates the native pursuing education away from home.

Sun & Mars having digbala in 10th and the ascendant lord’s placement also in the 10th shows an ambitious person, who would achieve remarkable success in career.

Since the 7th lord Mars is in 10th with Venus, the kalatrakaraka & darakaraka, marriage with a professional colleague is a probability.

But the parivartana between the 5th lord and 9 & 10th lord and the fact that all the factors ruling love and affection are with malefics, might result in conflict between personal and professional fronts.

The linkage between A5 & A7, upapada & darapada were discussed with reference to love marriage.

The group also briefly discussed the nature of Moon, its importance/ relationship vis-à-vis Memory & knowledge, and the impact of the conjunction of various planets with Moon, and summarized them as the following:

Mars+Moon = logic

Mercury+Moon=intelligence

Jupiter+Moon=knowledge

Saturn+Moon=past, including past lives

Rahu+Moon=Schizophrenia

Ketu+Moon=?

There was also a brief dialogue as to who is the karaka for ego, between Sun & Rahu and the difference between Rasi drishti and graha drishti. Sri Rama’s chart was frequently referenced to in this regard.

The meeting generated a lot of enthusiasm among the members, and what was originally intended to be a monthly meeting is now most likely to be a fortnightly event

The next meeting is tentative scheduled for March 10, 4 pm at the residence of Shailesh.

With regard to this Vrishab Vargottam chart, the plan was to study all the houses one by one and then to take-up study od Dasaa.

However, the discussions got diverted to related topics and we could not discuss Dasas.
