Guest guest
Dear Dhira Krsna Ref: Exact record of birth time(s) of daughter: a) 1st incision, b) head out, c) 1st cry, d) cord-cut: As you are the Nth person who sent me a personal mail on this & I have had to write a disappointing reply to, I am also ccing this to the 3 Lists Very sad. Went home y'day & searched thru all my files, so that I cd upload the data on varahamihira today. I must have chucked off that paper which had those details, as: a) a month after that date, I chanced Gurudev's message that only the cord-cut time is relevant, & b)given my clutter-nature of life, I have an equally compelling (compensatory) obsession to chuck things I dont require. I have the cut-cord time of course, to the second, if of any consolatory use (it is 9h 48m 28s am on June 10, 2001 at Bombay= aka Mumbai= 72e50, 18n58, 5/30 E of GMT). And I have fortunately retained that data only because I made the chart on Jhoral (tho not read: see later). Quite sad, as all 4 times were within minutes of each other, & recorded exact to the second by the anaesthetist on my request. And that I cd do this only b'cos the docs were my wife's colleagues. For most other people, they wd find it difficult to record for their children, esp in India, where the husband is not allowed in the OT unlike abroad where for natural births, it is compulsory. Aaaargh! Sorry. We have lost some potential research input, which is ALSO very difficult to get. Abt why not read child's chart: the first few yrs are supposed to be due to karma of parents. More than all that, more practically: parents' ideas abt their children get formed in the early yrs, & subtly cd affet our behaviour. And we parents r not super-human-devatas. Eg i cdnt help note the KSY in my elder child's (son) chart (5 yrs old now), when I read it last yr. My behaviour towards him cd have been subtly affected in some way (maybe more protective, maybe some feeling of having been cheated, .... God knows what all has gone thru my subconscious in knowing my son's chart, tho read by me only recently after his 4th yr age....) in his growing up yrs (i also have KAY). It affects one's unbiased behaviour, somehow, which is not good, in the initial yrs. Who knows, I may be tempted to see it when she is 5. Of course, there is no cut off date to when u can see your child's chart, & in India, most people do it immediately after birth. This is NOT some aphorism that I know of. It is just MY personal feeling.
