Guest guest
Namaste, Thanks for the note, yet the speed of the sun is still in question. I will assume that we use the time the Sun takes to transit 1 sign. If so this still makes it slower then Mercury and Venus, Yet it is postioned Sani,Jupiter, Mars, SUN, Venus, Mercury, Moon. The logic is still eluding my common sense... any help here is appreciated. Guest guest
Visti, I thought of adding for those interested in the astronomy of planets that the orbit speeds (around the sun, that is) of Venus and Jupiter are surprisingly the same, with Mars 70% more, Mercury 169% more and Saturn 29% less than Venus and Jupiter. One thing more... Saturn moves only about 22.5 times slower than the speed of light, yet he's the astrological sloth Warm regards, Ramapriya hubli - Visti Larsen varahamihira Saturday, January 11, 2003 7:47 PM [sJC: Varahamihira] Re: Varahamihira] Re: Varahamihira] Re: Varahamihira] Re: Varahamihira] Speed of Planets ::> Doubt is still present Hare Rama Krishna Yes Ramapriya, in regards to speeds then yes. But this isn't relevant in the context of Horas, where we only use the 7 Sthira Karaka. Hence the order begining from the slowest is: Shani, Guru, Mangal, Aditya, Shukra, Buddha and Chandra. Saturn moves only about 22.5 times slower than the speed of light, yet he's the astrological sloth What do u mean by this?. Which speed of saturn?. Guest guest
Dear Sanjay, Saturn laps 1427 million kilometers by hurtles through space at 17355 kilometers per hour, which is about 5.8% the speed of light. Like I said in that piece of my mail that you snipped, that bit of info was for those who find astronomy amusing Warm regards,.
