Dear Jyotisha,

You might find the following link interesting and informative.

Best Regards

Sarajit

_______

As there is so much misinformation out on the web about earliest /

Vedic India (do a Google search!), I have now decided to put out a 100

pp. long paper with BASIC introductory information on Vedic texts,

religion, mythology and ritual.

http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~witzel/VedicHinduism.htm

as pdf http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~witzel/vedica.pdf

This was composed jointly by S. Jamison and me, way back in 1992, and

--awaiting promised publication for many years-- has been circulated

only privately among students and colleagues. It will be updated,

eventually,to cover the past 10 years or so of scholarship. A much

shorter (almost equally dated) version will finally come out in a

vol. ed. by A. Sharma: The Study of Hinduism. & nbsp; U. of SC Press 2003

(?)

Enjoy,

Unfortunately, all Indologists(including Harvard asura-s) treat Veda-

s and puraans as myths(In other words Social Fiction)

Saraswati River was myth to Michael Witzel till Yesterday, and So is

any Indic Event. If something is real, it was inherited from his

Germanic Ancestors.

Puraana-s describe the Human(approx 5.5 million years) and Cosmic

evolution(billions of years)

Just go to any practicing pandita in a village and say that Michael

Witzel told us that vedas and puraans are myths..Fortunately they

laugh us.

Beware of the intellectual Asura Michael Witzel!
