West & east coast conference reminder

||Om brihaspataye namah||Dear Jyotish guru's, This is a reminder. The US West & East coast conferences are well in shcedule and promises to be a grand event. As Sri Jagannath would have it, I have made a promise to give full and final proof of the use of the 8 chara karaka system for animate beings and 7 chara karaka system for inanimate objects. So, please ensure that you list out your questions as we will be giving ample time to answer them. this is not going to be just another lecture session - I want to make this a learning session. Jyotish guru's are advised to kindly take some time out and post your reading material to me at yoga2004 or to Lakshmi Kary at laksmi_k Unless you do this soon,the attendees will missout on the real substance as they would not have a clue to what you are talking about. Background reading is crucial to make these conferences meaningful. That way those who attend know what they are learning and also have a basic idea of these advanced discussions. Material which is to be prepared for OHP should definitely be sent to lakshmi in advance of 2 weeks before the conference begins. I repeat the words of Jawaharlal Nehru Do not give me excuses for delay - I like to see work done'. I already have a huge article on Navamsa and that will be up in the webpages soon, thanks to Shiv Pujan, we have a very comprehensive material. Similarly for the east coast, please send your material to Narayan Iyer narayan The Sambandha (relationships) write up will be available for those of you who are attending the Weekend workshop -I (http://srath.com/conf/2003_workshop.htm) after the West Coast conference, by 31 May 2003. Although this was originally planned for 2 days over the weekend, Shiv Pujan and Visti Larsen will be teaching the various tools like Darapada, upapada etc as well as navamsa so that you are clear on basics before attending the all-day intensive with Robert Koch (saturday) & myself (sunday). I have seen that there are umpteen doubts about when to fast and AL & UL in various relationships and signs and what not all. I cannot possibly type everything on e-mails, and will give your answers at the conference. If you are unable to make it, ensure that you send your questions through a friend who is attending. You can pick up the lecture CDs later, although they may not answer any subsequent questions that I might have been able to answer if you were attending. Classwork handouts will be made available for download one week-10 days before the conference.
