Guest guest
Om Brihaspataye namah Dear Nitish The Koorma chakra is extremely vital. However, the days where small huts and villages determined the life and the name of the place could safely be taken as that of the area are gone. We have huge cities. So, you should choose the name akshara intelligently. Try the Name akshara with (a) City name (b) Locality name and try to ensure that the direction is maintained. If you have already started it, then choosing the auspicious day (tithi) of the deity, change the direction. Counting and Purascharana will have to be started again if direction is changed. Sitting anywhere else gives bad results. For myself, I was unaware of this and had been sitting in the leg part of koorma chakra when drawn for my home, using the name of our colony for locating the head of koorma in the chakra, which is Rampuri, i.e. falls in NW direction (Ya,Ra,La,Va). I want to know whether koorma chakra is important only wrt to purashcharan or for the mantra japa as well. Will this affect the recitation, that I have not undergone purashcharan ceremony? Looking forward to your reply, regards, nitish The New Search - Faster. Easier.
