Dear Sarajit,

It has link with two requisites for multiple sexual relationships. First is indicated by first shloka that is a sound health in order to be able to enjoy such relationships. Second is given in second shloka i.e. for these to happen and be able to sustain one must have good financial status. If you remember , not so long back it was almost de rigour for affluents to have either multible wives of concibines in India. That is why in second shloka he also says that such a person is well behaved and famous , certainly not something that he would be called in modern times. This is precisely why Kala , Sthala, Dhnati(Race of Caste) are to be taken into account and the jyotishi is enjoined to use his Viveka to arrive at prediction.

mnSvI cÂlíEv iÖÉayaeR prgae=ip v. 1.

for the placement of the lagna lord in the lagna, Maharishi Parasara says that:

If Lagna Lord is placed in Lagn itself, the native will be endowed with physical happiness and prowess. He will be intelligent, fickle-minded, will have two wives and will unite with other females.

Why Maharishi says two wives and more than one relationship ?

Again in the sloka 11,

l¶eze laÉge jat> sda laÉsmiNvt>,

suzIl> OyatkIitRí b÷dargu[EyuRt>. 11.

If Lagna Lord is in 11th house, the native will always be endowed with gains, good qualities, fame and many wives.

Why many wives? How 11th is involved for many wives?

This is the only explanation which comes to my mind. However this is not satisfactory and convincing. Why good health and good money shall lead to multiple relationships or marriage. As you say probably Kala is the key. Lets check out what others have to say.
