|brihaspatim varenyam|Dear FrankLook at this from another view point. The calculation is 21600 breaths per day i.e. 60 breaths per degree of Lagnaor 1 breath per minute of Lagna. Does this ring a bell justifying the 360 degrees zodiac and not any other number.Again try to correlate this with the Prana pada and you will be surprised to see the utility. The sign of the Pranapada is the point from where one breathes. The type of breathing patern shows one culture as well. If the Pranapada is in Leo, the person breathes like a lion! and that can show as poor acculturation while the Pranapada in Aquarius shows a very cultured person whose breathing does not speed up easily i.e. the person is generally cool and cultured. Breathing has a lot to do with the control of anger and mind. Ever wondered as to why longevity is low with the Pranapada in Cancer.
