Respected Gurus of SJVC,

I am experiencing a dilemma in calculations of Rudra & Maheswara and

need your enlightenment please.

If Rudra is the stronger of the Lords of the 8th from the Lagna (Cancer

Lagna = Sagitarius <even rasi/reverse count> ) or it's 7th (Gemini),

then Jupiter and Mercury are in contention as Rudra. Jupiter is in the

Lagna with Rahu and Mercury is in Virgo alone, so Jupiter is Rudra.

Maheswara is the Lord of the 8th house from AK (Sun in Leo 29 <with

Venus>) <Zodiacal count> which is Pisces Lord Jupiter (exalted=rider

#1), then the Lord of the 8th or 12th from it....

Here is my dilemma.

If it continues to be reverse count from Jupiter in Cancer to

Sagitarius, do we skip the 8th to avoid the infinite loop and go to the

12th Lord Sun in Leo/2nd house as Maheswara,

or

does Rahu conjoined Jupiter reverse Cancer's anti-zodiacal count,

thereby giving 8th Lord of Aquarius (Rahu with Jupiter is stronger than

Saturn alone in Gemini) as temporary Maheswara and continue to rider #2.

The 6th planet from Rahu in the order of the weekdays becomes

Maheswara. Thus, Mercury shall replace Rahu as Maheswara.

If the second solution is correct, then please explain the order of the

weekdays formula.

Why do we start from Friday to Wednesday (Merc's day) for Rahu, and

Saturn's day to Thursday for Ketu?

It just so happens that counting in reverse (Rahu in Cancer), Sat, Mars

in Taurus, Moon in Aries & Ketu, equals Mercury as the 6th planet but

that is coincidence.

I must be missing something in my readings and hope this is not too

fundamental to be aired in this forum.

Thank you for your considerations,

James A. Ridpath
