Your input and ideas are important and keep giving your feedback even if in a personal note. Yes, ACVA has a College and I am on the faculty of that organization. ACVA uses the title of Faculty Member and I think that is a perfect for this work. It is straight forward, appropriate for this culture and has no confusion with it. I believe that this is the correct title for those of us in the USA. I always use this title in relation to SJC. It is unpretentious in this culture. As you know Sanjay's teaching is very different than that of ACVA and I think you can see the reason for the different platform. With respect to the Shoola dasa and longevity issue... I was one of those people you contacted and I told you to purchase the CD's from the West Coast conference last year. I did about 4 hours on Shoola dasa and gave the examples of Monica Lewinsky, Versace and once other case where the daughter of a friend of mine was stabbed to death in LA. Sanjay added some excellent comments to my presentation and we all learned a great deal from that. I hope you worked with that material. Also, Sanjay has given us a great study on Longevity and Shoola dasa with numerous examples and that paper is on his web-site. Are you aware of it? Once you study all that and if you have specific questions, i would be happy to answer them. Regards, Brendan Dear Fellow Members, Some important issues are being brought up. I appreciate honesty and speaking from the heart, as, for one, Brendan has done. A consideration in point is the way to go, if any different, for this organization. Maybe Brendan is right: Have a structured form of teaching. Let us ask ourselves why are we part of it? Is it because of entertainment, or avoiding the ~$100/hour charge by the "certified" ACVA teachers, or is it because of the spiritual ideals Sanjay Rath encourages, or other reasons, including a searching for the soul. By making it more a structured form, others will show more respect in the West, which translates to greater practical application, and truthfully, compensation in various forms. Would we charge as teachers? How do teachers get to be teachers? What about competing with ACVA, and the Univ. in Fl in the USA? If they exist, why another competing entity? To me, what Sanjay set out to do was to continue the Indian tradition of teaching without charge and emphasizing a spiritual base throughout via the Internet, and conferences. Of course, the "without charge" thing isn't workable in this day and time and in many cultures today. Unfortunate but true, at least from my experience and observation. Though probably missing things of value, I only look at messages of the two SJ - of people who am familiar with AND think they have something important to say. Thus, I read few of them. However, I buy tapes from conferences and written material, and from any organization. To be viable and valuable, SJ must distinguish itself from others. It has a larger organization than any other to my knowledge on the Internet. So, that should remain intact probably. But not too long ago I put out a few Longevity questions and a nodal question to the two SJ groups, besides contacting several people of SJ, who one would think know. Either no response, or referral, or said do not know. I found one answer and maybe the Shoola Dasa tape will give part of rest. What I am saying is maybe we do need something else here?! Perhaps courses by people with consulting time as part of it. And they would be required to pass stiff tests made out by Sanjay say, on the particular topics they wish to teach. They themselves would be given guidance by Sanjay or whoever is designated as the available "authority" on the subject at the time, which should be an ongoing certif- ication, as new information becomes available, otherwise they get stale and knowledge passes them. As a couple examples, Brendan Feeley could take much of the field of medicine, Sat Siri Kalsa the system of Krishnamurti. What about teaching at more than one institution?................
