International Members and Subscribers: Easier Payment Methods for JD Subscriptions and Membership Fees

Dear SJC members and Jyotish Digest rs,

Many of you (our international members) had problems making payment to us. Till now you have been posting cheques to India. A few of you have directly transferred money or used Western Union. Our Bank has now provided us with easier, cheaper and quicker options by which you can transfer your fees and subscriptions to us. Please read carefully the different methods enumerated below. If you post a cheque, try and use the Cheque Box Facility and those wishing to transfer money please use the Swift Codes provided and send the amount to the correspondent banks listed below. Those living in the Middle-East, please note, that you have separate facilities as you cannot send a cheque directly (Read below).

1. Cheque Box Facility

Posting a cheque is the still the cheapest option available for those wishing to send us money from foreign countries. Those of you who wish to post a cheque to SJC, need not mail it all the way to India. Instead you can mail them to your nearest Cheque Box. Please remember to download the special deposit slip from http://www.hdfcbank.com/nri/chequebox.htm
