Finding Longevity: 3 pairs method vs. 8th lord method: Which is more reliabl

I am referring to chapter: Longevity in respected Gurudev PVR

Narasimha Rao's " Vedic AStrology " textbook

 

My date of birth: 9-Jan-1981, Time of birth: 18:47, Place of birth:

Puttur, Karnataka (12N47, 75E1)

 

Method 1: (Method of 3 pairs): Page 158 of PVR Narasimha Rao's book

(2) In my chart, Moon is in Kumbha (Sthira Rashi) and Saturn is in

Kanya (Dual Rashi)

Fixed + Dual is long life

 

(1) Lagna is Cancer which is a fixed rashi. Horalagna is Saggitarius

which is dual rashi.

Fixed + Dual is long life.

 

So native enjoys a long life.

 

As 2 pairs out of 3 indicate long life, So the native has long life

 

 

Method 2: (The Eigth Lord Method)

Lagna is in Cancer and has only Rahu in it while the 7th house Makara

has Mercury, Mars and Ketu.

So the 7th house (Makara rashi) is stronger rashi.

 

The 8th house from Makara as reference point is Simha or Leo.

Lord of 8th house Leo is Sun.

 

Sun is placed 12th from Makara which is " apoklima " from Makara.

So short life is indicated

 

Given that method 1 and method 2 deliver different results, which one

is more accurate?

 

Are there other factors to consider while estimating longevity?
