To day, October 12, 2007 is the beginning of Durga

Puja. The Navaratri begins. She is Maha-Shakti or

Supreme Energy. She manifests chiefly in three forms:

Maha-Saraswati, Maha-Lakshmi and Maha-Kali: Creation,

Conservation and Annihilation, i.e. Birth, Sustenance

and Death, the three faces of life. By worshiping

Durga, we worship the cycle of life. In Durga

Saptshati, the Maha-Shakti has been worshiped as “O

Mother Durga, you remove all fear of those who

remember you in trouble. You bestow all your wisdom,

compassion in your heart to those who remember you in

their happiness. You are the dispeller of poverty,

pain and fear.”

May Mother Durga bless you and remove your poverty,

pain and fear. She may grant you knowledge, wealth and

happiness.

 

According to my little knowledge, the energy

represents activities, the Karma. Our sages have made

10th house, Karma, as the most powerful Kendra among

the Kendra. The 9th house, Bhagya, is 12th to 10th,

Karma, the negation of Karma. If the lords of 10th and

9th combined in auspicious house they produce most

powerful Raja-Yoga But it is clear that Bhagya has got

its limitations. One cannot get more or less than what

is written in his Bhagya. So do not care for the

Bhagya. The 10th house has not got any limitations.

The more you do Karma the more you will get. Therefore

the Karma is superior to Bhagya. They are two sides of

the coin. When Karma and Bhagya combined, gold becomes

kundan. Please take care of your Karma.

Mother Durga may guide you through the cycle of life
