To PVR Ji - Gayatri Mantra Dhiyo Yona or Dhiyo Yonah Prachothayat which is correct Pronunciation?

Hi PVRJi

 

I happen to hear following in Gayatri mantra as well many people pronouncing

" Dhiyo Yona Prachothayat " even in tapes i have seen ,but in texts i have seen

as " Dhiyo Yonah Prachothayat " so there " Nah " thing is comming .I even heard the

view that " ha " thing in the end is silent . Which one is the correct

pronounciation?

Dear santhosh,

 

MANTRAS were CHANTED by the RISHIS .

 

there are so many prob regarding the original vibrations to be created.Pls

read out throught .A sanskrit pandit and hear his pronounciation.

dear biswajit,

as a student of sanskrit, i can tell u that in Gayatri mantra the word NAH is

the correct one and the H sound must be pronounced.
