Guest guest
Namaste Ji, I read in the below web site http://www.vedicprediction.com/gemstones.html " Ruby is said to give name, fame, virtue, vigor, warmth and commanding power to its user. It also enhances the status of a person. Normally red in color, it helps to cure peptic ulcer, fever, rheumatism, gout. Ladies should avoid the use of Ruby as it can destroy the body luster. Ruby should be used in Gold. " I have seen learned astrologers recommend females to wear Ruby if the " sun " is in good placement. Can guru's like Narashimaye, Richard, Rafal, Raja throw some light on this. Namashivaya.
Guest guest
Namaste Narasimhaye Thanks you for the quick response as always... I have seen astrologers recomending Ruby less than one carat for females Will gem of less than one carat really do the needful? What is the real carat one should select when using a gem? Requested learned seniors in this group to throw some light on this. I have also seen recomendation of uparatna.. Does this really help? " jothish " quality gem is out of reach for many of us. Namashivaya. narasimhaye <no_reply > wrote: Namaste Sudhir, its not mentioned in the ancient text of Mani Mala that 'ladies should not wear Ruby as it can destroy body lustre'. Some astrologers recommend that ruby be set in rings made of a mixture of gold and copper. Others suggest just rings in gold. Would be great to hear from our highly learned friends further about this subject. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Namaste Suhir ji, In today's commercial market most astrologers have their own opinions which they base (or claim therein) on their experience, and/or knowledge of the shastras. Ruby is a gemstone for Surya, and by nature its a very agni pradhan ratna. Therefore some 'may' use the logic of wearing a less than 1 carat stone. Others', I have witnessed opt in to suggest a pinkish ruby attempting a venisian " version " of sun, if I may. All these are experiments, and one must have faith in any One astrologer and follow the guidance provided with utmost sincerity, just like there are many doctors who would diagnose the diseases differently and even prescribe different medicines to cure the same disease, we must follow a single course of treatment. Although having said this, it is nonetheless important to choose a competent doctor for any hopes of cure. My guru says even Shukra worshipped Shiva with a ruby linga, so a pure, clean ruby is indeed a fortune and a blessing. Now, what most of India wears in ruby is at the best garbage, forget " jyotish quality " . Fine rubies are indeed for all realistic purposes, out of reach for an average man, and there is no iota of doubt about it, anyone telling you anything else is a hoax giving sales-pitch. For this reason, consider uparatnas. It is important to go for a very fine gem and relatively larger size when wearing an uparatna. Do not forget that by wearing a ratna, we are inviting the devta associated to come and reside in the gem, and would you want their abode to be anything less than ideal?
