Guest guest
Friends, A simple question arises in my mind. What Rshis of yore wrote down was the final word on astrology? I dare to say that NO. They wrote what was appropriate for those times and conditions that prevailed then. It is universal truth that Gyana is not like a pond. Gnana is like flowing Ganga river. It gathers strength as it moves forward. I have interpreted the shastra as per what I have observed and seen in the last 40 years of my limited experience dabbling in astrology. I am not any Jyotish Guru. But my logical mind refuses to take anything written in or about astrology as the LAST WORD. Anyone who approaches any subject should have an open mind and ability to question and glean Truth . No one has right to advise anyone not to accept what does not conform to old sahitya on any subject. This puts a full stop to evolution of mind. It is true of Astrology also. Gurutva comes with experience of decades or some times life long experiences. Mere mastering some books or a branch of any subject cannot make a Guru. Gurutva comes with inquiring mind and that is how Upnishads came about. Hope people will understand this basic fact about ability and curiosity to question. Work is represented by Budha, Surya, Guru and Shani. Budha is the primary karaka as it shows learning, communication and skills. Mars wants conclusion and altough it has digbal in tenth bhava it is enemy for Buddha and will show obstruction to gaining new knowledge/curiosity. Instead talking and communication is very helpful in finishing projects (tenth bhava). Some here say that Jupiter shows speech, while Budha is for memory. This is against Rsis teaching. Guest guest
Namaskar, When classics are clear on some point there is no room for discussion ot logic on that point. You can neither ignore classics not go against classics. It all seems very fancy when you are in infancy stage of astrology otherwise these ideas wash away as you progresses in learning vedic astrology day by day. You cannot go against Rishis when you are learning Vedic Astrology. So I support Rafal ji at this point. regards sushil dikshit vedic astrology , Tatvam-Asi <nameisego wrote: > > Friends, > > A simple question arises in my mind. > What Rshis of yore wrote down was the final word on astrology? > > I dare to say that NO. > > They wrote what was appropriate for those times and conditions that prevailed then. > It is universal truth that Gyana is not like a pond. Guest guest
Dear Sir, Did the Rshis ask anyone to accept that whatever they wrote or said as the final word and no one should seek further knowledge except what they theorised and wrote? And No one should question their teachings? Has Parashar Muni or Varaha Mihira or Kalyana Verma or has any author ever stated that only what they say is to be followed and accepted as the final word? Tatvam-Asi Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
Guest guest
Namaste, I think we were discussing graha kaaraka and not " Bhava graha " for 10th house/ jeevana sthaanam..
