If you do not mind could you also answer the questions based on my

general curiosity and interest in astrology. I would like to know:

 

Can a gem be worn for the ruler of 7th house if it is placed well but

is weak. Like I am Virgo Lagna with Jupiter ruling 4th and 7th house

placed well in 2nd house.

Also Mercury is a friendly planet for Capricorn ascendant But which

house should be considered- 6th or 9th for its effects?
