Guest guest
Om Datta Guru Dear Pascal Ofcourse i do not see you as a Talibanist, I love shlokas a lot and at the same time i experiment very wildly though at risks lol. What i was trying to say that as of now the parampara knowledge in india hidden and even if they come out to give the various hidden meanings or original texts all of us will never accept them. Who wants to learn 11 types of Chara Dasa, even though Parasara has taught about Chara Dasa but beyond Vimshottari our mind cant function though at the same time we need to stick to one and master it. But then its fun to see masters not use any dasas and predict beautifully. Very few dedicated lot like 80 yr old Sri Madura Krishnamoorthy Sastri who can go to Jaipur and sit 6 months in the Observatory (astronomy) to dig deeper on the ayanamsa issue. Research is fine and many have said about it before. In Jyotish Group i wrote about the need for a some years back and though there was support for it but i knows its not that easy, everyone is not free to do it. In those early days i had time but now no more due to various other jyotish projects. best wishes Sunil John vedic astrology , " pascalthomas_va " <pthomas69 wrote: > > Dear Sunil, > > thank you for your long and interesting comment. > > I truly hope I am not a " shloka talibanist " when I refer to BPHS (or > other scriptures), quoting it (but I really like this expression, very > creative wording!). Guest guest
Dear Sunil, thanks for your reply. " Who wants to learn 11 types of Chara Dasa, even though Parasara has taught about Chara Dasa but beyond Vimshottari our mind cant function though at the same time we need to stick to one and master it. " > Yes, absolutely right. As I said before, there probably is just ONE correct Chara Dasa, so in my view most Chara Dasas taught today are false. Perhaps today we even do not know correct Chara Dasa! > I agree with you fully when you state that it is important to master at least ONE dasa, which normally is Vimshottari, " the most appropriate in kali yuga " . It is more important to master ONE dasa system than to use a dozen erroneously. Next dasa would be to master conditional dasas, which are really underestimated. Next dasa then in my view Moola Dasa and Kalachakra Dasa. These dasas may be sufficient for all purposes. " But then its fun to see masters not use any dasas and predict beautifully. " > Perhaps they used transits, or they were really seers. This is far beyond my scope and abilities. " Very few dedicated lot like 80 yr old Sri Madura Krishnamoorthy Sastri who can go to Jaipur and sit 6 months in the Observatory (astronomy) to dig deeper on the ayanamsa issue. Only those who are seriously and professionally engaged in astrology. > I have the suspicion that KP ayanamsa (using Newcomb's precession correction rate) gives better results in Vimshottari etc. " Research is fine and many have said about it before. " > Few astrologers so research, unfortunately. So astrology is not a respected science, and it deserves this respect. Best wishes for your life, Sunil!
