Guest guest
Dear Vyas: Thank you for interesting post. It appears we are on the same page. Here is an excerpt from my column today: "Mercury transits out of its own sign of Gemini and into Cancer, August 5, closely conjunct Venus, under the aspect of Rahu. (The stock market may do well.)" Best wishes. David Hawthorne - Vyas Munidas SAMVA Wednesday, August 02, 2006 10:58 AM Markets Dear List,Tomorrow should be an interesting day for the markets. There's data coming out in the NY session that should be a good mover. As the Moon is weak in Sc, we'll have determined fearlessness that's emoitionally driven. Taken with the weakness and affliction of Mercury, there should be little regard for the technical side.Oil has the beneficial influence of the Sun so overall it should remain buoyant. GOLD has been on the investor-mind since the Mo-Libra transit and the strength of Venus and Jupiter. (I was looking for a dip in GOLD by profit taking, but we didn't go beyond $5). USD has been a big loser overall and next Tuesday with Ra-(weak Ve-Me) affliction and the FOMC meeting (Mo in the watery half of Cp), we can expect increased volatility. I'll stay out of the markets for the most part unless some critical levels are broken and the Ra-Ve affliction starts to separate. The major weakness of Mercury is marked until Thursday 10 Aug; a return to more rational, technical behaviour should be present afterwards. However, before the month is over it will be combust again. Added to this is the transit through Cn, which is never good for a planet due to frequent dispositor weakness, which makes the mass mind very fickle, sentimental etc. GL & GTBest regards,Vyas Munidas
Guest guest
Dear David, Close Me-Ve, when both are healthy, can give this rise in the SM. In this case they are in infancy, their dispositor is weak (in a sensitive sign on that particular Tuesday) and they are under the influence of Rahu which sits in a watery, sensitive sign, prone to enjoyment. Greed driven for sure with alot of profit taking. Likely much higher volatility. I wouldn't peg a direction until I see what levels refuse to break. Guest guest
Dear David and List, Another key note:- alot of key US data and press releases happen when Ra closely/exactly aspects other planets. Rahu is the significatior of manipulation and deception. Labelling Ra flavoured data as 'adjusted,' is a good idea. Ketu's influence on the other hand usually reveals the true nature in a very harsh way. Usually though, the release times match Ra's influence. Use it to your advantage instead or picketing against it. Guest guest
Dear David and List, Here are the market events on this Tuesday as we were discussing higher volatility etc. 1) Stocks were marginally higher pre-FOMC interest rate announcement; investors hoping for a pause. 2) FOMC pasued rates, indices dropped across the board after making a new daily high. 3) Higher volatility is always most apparent in currency markets. Within the first 10 minutes we saw huge swings in both directions in all of the major currency pairs. Today is an ideal, but common illustration of the fluctuations caused by Rahu in the markets. Next week, there will be better stability in the indices and proper technical behaviour. GL & GT. Guest guest
Dear List, For those of you interested in financial markets, you may find the following interesting to note. Recently the stock market has risen to levels that challenge the yearly highs. This is attributed to the Ma-Me aspect with Me in Virgo. Now as the aspect is no longer close, The fiery rise has ceased and in fact there has been lots of selling and profit taking. Some are looking for a reason for the drop or lack of follow through. The mental association is that rise or buying is because of planetary strength and the impact of other beneficial planets, and fall in price/selling is due to planetary weakness and the impact of malefic planets. Falls can also be due to the withdrawal of support of helpful planets even though signifying planets may be 'fully' strong. Another case in point is the Sun-Jupiter opposition that began in late April this year. We saw almost a $100 rise in the Gold price to a multi year high. However, after the Sun passed the 5 degree orb and enterted old age, the fire to buy was gone and it sold off. (Mars aspect to Sg also helped FYI). Another noteworthy point - in my research into financial astrology, nothing can stand in the way of Mars. One may say that the Sun challenges this opinion. Yes it can, however the Sun is faster moving and its imact is thus less in these considerations. Best regards, Vyas Munidas
Guest guest
Dear List, We can expect good gains in the stock market as Ve, Su, and Mars transit Virgo, despite the old age of Mercury. Guest guest
Dear Professor, Thank you. Mercury itself will be in old age/infancy this week. Venus is weak, close to Ketu, and debilitated. My deeper thought on this is that since Mercury is usually weak anyways, the influence of these planets on its MTH would help to keep the stock indices in buy-on-dip mode. How do we judge the circular reference in other matters since they are each other's dispositor? Guest guest
Dear List, DJIA broke the yearly high today. The all-time high was in Jan 2001 around 11908. Contributing then was Su with Me in Sg with very strong Ju in Ta influencing Virgo. Additionally Venus was in Aq aspecting Leo and Mars from affluent Libra aspected Jupiter. The current situation doesn't seem so powerful on first glance, and the impression is that the all-time high will not be broken. However I will not dismiss the power of Mars ruling enormous wealth and the Sun (being the Sun of course) transiting Virgo. Venus helps to a good extent as well.
