Guest guest
Aloha Shayn, Nice to hear from you. Well, all is well. Everyone had their own experience. My neighbor was sad when the power came back on, after twelve hours in parts of the island, as it meant light pollution and no more camping out conditions for dining;) Me, a little shook up hours after the quake, enjoyed the initial part, fun! Now I need to be more emergency ready...got batteries from neighbor, bought magazines to read.etc.. all the island were out of electricity, never had that before. My power was out for thirty hours, no hot water etc, lights, phones of any kind..unless you had regular phone. Anyway there were rolling black outs for a while, unsure when they would return. Last time all islands had no power was during Iniki in '92.. Whew..glad I got creature comforts again.. Mostly unable to reach family on mainland...and then there was talk of tsunamis and I really had to get ready, be prepared...as I live by the water. Well it was nice connecting with and catching up with the neighbors, sharing supplies etc. Aloooha, SallyOn 10/16/06, Shayn Smith <mactunesmith wrote: Aloha Sally,Hope all is well...Warm regards,ShaynSAMVA , " Jorge Angelino " <jorge.angelinowrote:> >> Monday, 16 October 2006, 00:33 GMT 01:33 UK
