Guest guest
Hello list, A new poll in the UK suggest the British people have turned away religion. Christianity is the most prevalent religion in Britain. Such expressions are a testament to the Kaliyuga, where people turn to the matieralist view on life and away from the spiritual view. It may also reflect a chasm some complain about between organised religions and spiritual experience. Whatever, the case may be, it is also possible to see such tendencies in terms of an astrological chart. This sentiment is seen in the 16° Virgo rising chart for Britain in terms of the impact of L8 Mars, which rules the beliefs of the people. For most of December, Mars was conjunct L4 Jupiter, thus perhaps creating obstalces for having a sense of God. In the days leading up to Christmas, when the poll was taken, it was also aspecting (in the MEP of) H3 of communication and H9 of higher knowledge. Natally, religion is seen to be vulnerable in Britain. While Jupiter is strong in its sign of exaltation in H11, it dispositor the Moon is in old age in H10 in the chart. Moreover, the other spiritual planet the Sun is L12 and afflicting H4 of communal harmony and H10 of government. Finally, L1 Mercury is afflicted by Rahu, giving a materialist impulse. Hence, religion is vulnerable to setbacks. Several FMs are transiting dusthana houses where they are afflicting natal planets, including the Moon. This may also be influencing this outcome. Wishing everyone happiness over the holidays not least through a personal communion with God. I also share some pearls of wisdom from www.YourNetAstrologer.com; 1. While describing the character of saints (holy persons) and those who are unholy, Saint Tulsidas, the writer of Ramayana, says that the holy persons give happiness to others while the unholy persons live for making others unhappy. So, those learning and practicing astrology should follow the conduct of holy persons. 2. Ramayana says that without going into the merits of advice or sayings, one should follow the advice of one's parents, guru (teacher) and god, as this always bless the person with happiness and peace. 3. Those who do not respect or heed to their parents and God and those who seek service from holy persons are just demons. Such persons always cause sufferings to others and perish after experiencing sufferings in life. 4. While patience and self-control are necessary for being successful and peaceful in life generosity remains a virtue, above all. In Ramayana, lord Rama says, "Only those who are simple find me. I do not like those who are involved in manipulations and cheating." Best regards, C Most Britons believe religion does more harm than good: pollDec 23 1:55 PM US/Eastern An overwhelming number of Britons believe religion does more harm than good while non-believers outnumber believers by nearly two to one, an ICM poll suggested. Eighty-two percent of the 1,006 adults questioned for the left-leaning Guardian newspaper in the run up to Christmas said they saw religion as a cause of division and tension between people compared to 16 percent who disagreed. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/12/23/061223185456.vcdgpyo6.html Do You ?
