Dear list members, Two civic leaders were assassinated in the US in 1968, Martin Luther King on April 4 and Robert F Kennedy on June 5 1968. In both cases the dual malefic Sa/Ra period was running, indicating tragedies due to the natal affliction involving them in the chart. Martin Luther King, civil rights leader is assassinated in the evening of 4 April 1968 in Memphis. Sa/Ra period is running. The transits are quite compelling. Transit Rahu at 25° 18' Pisces H9 aspects L8 Saturn at 26° 46' Scorpio H5. Transit L8 Saturn at 21° 56' Pisces H9 is conjunct transit L2 Sun at 21° 51' Pisces H9. Natal L6 Jupiter at 4° Scorpio aspects L3 Mercury at 3° Pisces H9 and transit L4 Venus at 2° Pisces. Robert F Kennedy, candidate for the Democratic nomination for President is assassinated at 12:15 am on 5 June 1968 in Los Angeles. Sa/Ra period is running. The

transits are similar to the above event. The major affliction is still operational in the chart - the aspect of transit Rahu, now at 23° 32' Pisces H9, to L8 Saturn at 26° 46' Scorpio H5. Additionally, natal L8 Saturn at 26° 46' Scorpio H5 aspects transits L10 Mars at 25° 49' Taurus H11. Transit Ketu at 23° 32' Virgo H3 aspects transit L2 Sun at 21° 17' Taurus H11. Martin Luther King dasha: Me/Me/Ve, transit Mercury, L11

(friend) placed in H9 (law and justice), is conjunct transit Venus, L12 (loss).

 

 

 

 

Robert F Kennedy: still Me/Me/Ve, transit Mercury was

exactly over natal Venus. Transit Venus was under the affliction of natal Ketu,

afflicting H7 and H1. Transit Sun was exactly in between transit Venus and

transit Mars.

 

 

In both cases, natal Saturn, L4

(supporters), was afflicted by transit Rahu/Ketu axis.
