Dear C,

Thank you for your kind email. Your work on the Iceland chart is quite

amazing - through natural disaster events, I'd say you have authenticated

that chart fully. In this study, I am not strongly attached to either chart,

but the Cn chart shows best promise so far.

I now draw your attention to another key earthquake in the USA the April 18,

1906 San Francisco earthquake 13:12:21 UTC.

The full account is given here

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/regional/states/events/1906_04_18.php and it

begins as follows:

" This earthquake is one of the most devastating in the history of

California. The earthquake and resulting fires caused an estimated 3,000

deaths and $524 million in property loss. Damage in San Francisco resulting

only from the earthquake was estimated at $20 million; outside the city, it

was estimated at $4 million. The sensible duration of the shaking in San

Francisco was about 1 minute. "

The comparison is below with the charts. The Cn chart shows the event

clearly; the Sc chart doesn't.

San Francisco, California 1906 04 18 13:12:21 UTC Magnitude 7.8

*******************************************************************

The SAMVA Chart, " Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union "

*******************************************************************

Sa-H8 MEP, afflicts LO4 Ve in H10 on the MEP. LO1 Mo is in H8 closely

afflicted by Saturn and natal Ketu from H4. Ve is close to natal Ra. Rahu is

in H1 and the nodes closely afflict all odd houses. Ju afflicts natal LO10

Mars. Tr Ma is in 0 degrees of H11 with Ju. The affliction to LO4 and LO1

are clear, no explanation required.

*******************************************************************

The Rectified Chart, " Declaration of Independance "

*******************************************************************

LO4 Sa is strong in H4 conj LO9 Mo. The axis does not afflict any house. Tr

Ke closely afflicts natal LO6 Mars and LO11 Me is afflicted by natal Ra from

H9. This chart shows some manageable tensions, but nothing related to this

significant event.

Re: Natural Calamities in the USA 1811-1812 Earthquakes

Dear Vyas,

Thank you for this magisterial contribution. Indeed, the SAMVA USA

chart is being developed through a multitude of events examined. More

importantly, such studies increase the knowledge of the properties of

this chart. It is studies like this which give insight into what

factors to look for in order to make correct predictions. Last year,

I performed an exhaustive study of earthquakes in the authentic chart

for Iceland. The study enabled me to correctly predict an earthquake

in Iceland last October. The predictions made on the basis of this

chart for next Spring will be decisive in establishing it as the

authentic chart for the USA.

Best wishes,

Dear Jorge,

I missed the natal Sa close affliction by transit Ke in the rectified chart.

Thank you. Transit Saturn however is very strong in its own MTH. In my

opinion, this is a key point of assessment of significant events concerning

4H; here it is certainly not dire.

The arithmetic mean point between aspects bares no relevance in SA per my

understanding.

RE: Re: Natural Calamities in the USA, 1906 April 18 San

Francisco earthquake

Dear C.

Well said. That is exactly what I call, " learning how to use the chart " .

Each chart has its own peculiarities. Using one kind of events for the same

chart is highly recommended. I have been doing that with air accidents, for

example.

Regarding San Francisco earthquake in 1906:

SAMVA chart was in Mo/Ju/Ma or Mo/Ju/Ra (2 days difference in dasha).

Transit Jupiter is not badly placed nor afflicted, unless we consider that

it falls exactly on the seventh house aspect of the arithmetical mean of

natal Jupiter plus natal Saturn. Natal Jupiter has the MEP of its house of

placement closely afflicted (5 degree orb) by transit Rahu. Transit

Rahu/Ketu axis closely afflicts all odd houses, including MEP1. Transit

Saturn afflicts transit Venus, L4, and MEPs 8, 10, 2 and 5.

Rectified chart was in Mo/Ve/Ra. Transit Venus is badly placed in H6, in

exact square aspect with the arithmetical mean of the natal axis plus the

transit axis. Transit Saturn, dispositor of the Moon, is close to this

value, and natal Saturn is afflicted by transit Ketu. Transit Jupiter, L12

in D6, is closely aspecting MEP1 (Jupiter is FMP in D4, D5, D6, D11 and

D12). Transit retrograde Mercury, L6 in D8, is exactly over MEP5.

I am in the process of checking as many events as possible.

Best wishes,

Jorge

Re: Natural Calamities in the USA, 1906 April 18 San

Francisco earthquake

Dear Vyas,

Thanks for the additional check. It is very interesting.

One thought on this historical analysis for future reference. If the

recorded event was large (in terms of Richter scale measurement) but

took place in a remote area and with little or any real impact on the

national affairs or sentiments, it would likely be seen remotely in

the chart. However, where the magnitude is large and the impact

severe on a given population, the impact should show up clearly in

the national chart. So, not all earthquakes would be equal in this

sense.

For checking a mundane chart, a good rule to follow would be to look

at a wide variety of events but each with a clearly defined and major

impact on the country. This should give insight on how to interpret

the events in terms of the chart and how to make the most accurate

predictions.

Best wishes,

Dear Vyas,

you are right in your understanding.

Regarding strong Saturn in transit, it cannot exceed its strenght in rashi, and it is afflicted in TTT.

Best wishes,

Jorge

Each chart has its own peculiarities. Using one kind of events for the samechart is highly recommended. I have been doing that with air accidents, forexample.Regarding San Francisco earthquake in 1906:

SAMVA chart was in Mo/Ju/Ma or Mo/Ju/Ra (2 days difference in dasha).Transit Jupiter is not badly placed nor afflicted, unless we consider thatit falls exactly on the seventh house aspect of the arithmetical mean of

natal Jupiter plus natal Saturn. Natal Jupiter has the MEP of its house ofplacement closely afflicted (5 degree orb) by transit Rahu. TransitRahu/Ketu axis closely afflicts all odd houses, including MEP1. Transit

Saturn afflicts transit Venus, L4, and MEPs 8, 10, 2 and 5.Rectified chart was in Mo/Ve/Ra. Transit Venus is badly placed in H6, inexact square aspect with the arithmetical mean of the natal axis plus the

transit axis. Transit Saturn, dispositor of the Moon, is close to thisvalue, and natal Saturn is afflicted by transit Ketu. Transit Jupiter, L12in D6, is closely aspecting MEP1 (Jupiter is FMP in D4, D5, D6, D11 and

D12). Transit retrograde Mercury, L6 in D8, is exactly over MEP5.I am in the process of checking as many events as possible.Best wishes,Jorge

SAMVA Subject: Re: Natural Calamities in the USA, 1906 April 18 SanFrancisco earthquakeDear Vyas,Thanks for the additional check. It is very interesting.

One thought on this historical analysis for future reference. If therecorded event was large (in terms of Richter scale measurement) buttook place in a remote area and with little or any real impact on the

national affairs or sentiments, it would likely be seen remotely inthe chart. However, where the magnitude is large and the impactsevere on a given population, the impact should show up clearly in

the national chart. So, not all earthquakes would be equal in thissense. For checking a mundane chart, a good rule to follow would be to lookat a wide variety of events but each with a clearly defined and major

impact on the country. This should give insight on how to interpretthe events in terms of the chart and how to make the most accuratepredictions.Best wishes,C

Dear Jorge,

Thank you for your email.

Regarding the triple transit, a closer look shows that the MEP of 11H

containing natal Sa was aspected 78% by strong tr FB Ju. That said, natal

LO2 Ju is badly placed in H8, combust and close to MMP Ve, harming

significations of H2 permanently. Ke in transit aspects natal Sa 60%. These

transit influences by FB Ju and Ke on H11/Sa provide some balance. Taken

with strong Sa in transit, on the MEP of its MTH, such destruction with 3000

fatalities isn't likely in my opinion. If my assessment is wrong about the

liklihood in the rectified chart, I encourage additional input for our dear

Professor or Cosmologer.

In the rashi of the rectified chart, 11H is afflicted by Ke (in fact all odd

houses are exactly afflicted by the axis). You raised a great point about a

planet not being able to exceed its natal strength. Since all other planets

in this chart range in strength from weak to severly weak, it begs the open

question.

I look forward to seeing your findings of the events you are testing.

Best regards,

Vyas Munidas

Dear Vyas,

you are right.

All odd houses are exactly afflicted. Mercury and the Moon suffer twice due to this affliction as they have their MT houses and houses of placement simultaneously afflicted. Saturn, Mars, Rahu and Ketu are also placed in afflicted houses. The remaining three planets are badly placed in H8, but the ruler of H2, Jupiter, exactly aspects its MT house, which saves the USA status.

This overall weakness, and specially the weakness of Saturn, L4, creates a generalized feeling of lack of contentment, which is not a good adviser for their national/international behavior. A maternal role among the nations may be what is asked of them through good/spiritual initiatives (Moon in H3, dispositor of Rahu in H9), but their international initiatives are still very much oriented by gains/aquisition of oil (Saturn in H11, dispositor of Ketu) even though they made them to happen as if motivated by a spiritual reason (Mercury, dispositor of Saturn, in H9).

Astral remedies would do wonders in USA, if they opt for them permanently.

Best wishes,

Jorge

Dear Jorge,

If we assume for a moment that this is infact the USA natal chart, we must

also consider the two fold requirement of astral remedy, viz propitiation

and strengthening. I think it's agreeable that the USA is the wealthiest

nation, the world leader, the country where practically any material dream

can happen regardless of background etc etc.

Propitiation via whatever effective method for countries have been discussed

here and some is done, but what about the strengthening? Without

strengthening, weak planets cannot show extraordinary results. I imagine

that FB gems/yantras would have to be kept in appropriate governement

buildings and key officials would have to have strong planets or do astral

remedies themselves.

In this case, the event may be well rectified, but it may not be the

defining moment of the birth of a nation. Compare to a woman who gets a

divorce and married again a few years later. The divorce does not define the

start of her second marriage, but it may explicitly define a new chapter in

her life.

Just my humble two cents Jorge, I hope it's well received. I have lots of

respect for your work and ability.

Best regards,

Vyas Munidas

My dear Vyas,

Thanks for your kind words.

Your ideas are always a precious contribution to this list and are welcome.

Status and wealth are there as Jupiter is exactly aspecting H2 (wealth), its own MT, from H8 (easy gains and death). Regarding the leading role, I am not so sure. See how this war in Iraq came without the approval of the UN. A leader leads, motivates, does not behave alone.

And in July 2 1776, they were not just separating from the English. They were taking on their shoulders the destiny of a new nation.

Best wishes,

Jorge

here and some is done, but what about the strengthening? Withoutstrengthening, weak planets cannot show extraordinary results. I imaginethat FB gems/yantras would have to be kept in appropriate governement

buildings and key officials would have to have strong planets or do astralremedies themselves. In this case, the event may be well rectified, but it may not be thedefining moment of the birth of a nation. Compare to a woman who gets a
