Planetary Transits for January 18 – January 24

Sun transits Capricorn, from 03:47 to 10:55°, outside of the orb of other planets. This is a good time for long-term planning and hard work for political leaders and organizations.

Moon transits Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Moon, in Sagittarius, is under the aspect of Ketu, Jan. 18. The new Moon, in Capricorn, transits the Sun, Jan. 18; Mercury, Jan. 19; and Venus, under the aspect of Saturn, Jan. 20.

Mercury transits Capricorn, from 10:52 to 22:49°, and is combust until Jan. 28. Focus on business planning and communications.

Mars transits Sagittarius from 07:03 to 12:13°, outside of the orb of other planets. Mars is ruled by a strong Jupiter. This should be a good week for the military, police, property, construction, mathematics, engineering and executive organizing capability.

Venus transits out of Capricorn and into Aquarius, Jan. 23, under the aspect of Saturn, and is weak until Jan. 28. Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces rising signs should exercise a lot of care and patience.

Jupiter transits Scorpio, from 17:37 to 18:53°, outside the orb of other planets. This is a strong position for Jupiter and is especially favorable for Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Pisces rising signs.

Saturn transits Cancer from 29:30 to 28:59, weak in old-age state, under the aspect of Venus, and is retrograde until April 19. Taurus, Scorpio, and Pisces rising signs should exercise a lot of care and patience.

Rahu and Ketu transit Aquarius and Leo, respectively, from 23:15 to 22:59°.

TRANSITS FOR EACH “RISING SIGN”:

Aries: Focus on your dharma and spirituality. Invest in your career, but avoid conflict. There are gains through your partner. Expect a windfall or status this year through teaching, publishing and advisory roles. Be patient and take time for study.

Taurus: Focus on your father, dharma and spirituality. Take care of your health and avoid debt through Jan. 27. Be patient with losses, expenses, and marriage. You and your spouse need to be careful and patient with setbacks this year.

Gemini: Take care of your health and be patient to avoid accidents. There may be some property and business setbacks or problems with communications. Gain through partners, education, and investments, but avoid conflict.

Cancer: Focus on marriage, partners and foreign ventures connected with business activities. Be careful to avoid debts and disputes in your career, and accidents at home or while traveling. Delay investments in property and fixed assets.

Leo: Exercise a lot of patience. Focus on your health and debts. Avoid disputes connected with your wealth, status, family life, and business activities. There is good fortune through your children, education, and property investments.

Virgo: Focus on business activities associated with publishing, teaching, and advisory roles. Manage delays with property and independence. There is success through children, education, investments and creativity, but avoid debts and conflict.

Libra: Focus on your home, health, children, education and investments. There are gains through parents and property. Work with your spouse or partner. Your status improves this year through teaching, publishing, and advisory roles.

Scorpio: Be careful to avoid disputes. Focus on teaching, publishing, and advisory roles. Be bold with business activities and communications, but protect your parents and property. There may be losses, expenses, or separations.

Sagittarius: Be bold. Invest in yourself, property, and executive activities. There are gains through your own self effort, along with status through your family, father, guru, dharma, and professional life. Income improves after Jan. 27.

Pisces: Be very careful this week. There may be setbacks, losses and expenses, accidents or hospitalization. Other problems are with intimacy, marriage, inheritance, and foreign places. Help the poor, the elderly, and women who are like sisters.
