SAMVA USA chart - the Cuban Missile Crisis

Dear list members, Event: The Cuban Missile Crisi. Cold War confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States regarding the Soviet deployment of nuclear missiles in Cuba. Often regarded as the moment when the Cold War came closest to escalating into a nuclear war, the crisis began on October 16, 1962 when U.S. reconnaissance data revealing Soviet nuclear missile installations on the island were shown to U.S. President John F. Kennedy. It ended twelve days later on October 28, 1962, when Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev announced that the installations would be dismantled. The US homeland security was being threatened. No harm came to the USA but it is considerd to have carried the day when the Soviets backed down. Sa/Ve/Me period was operating. Transit L8 Saturn was conjunct transit Ketu at 11°-12° Capricorn H7, on top of L3 Mercury at 13° Capricorn in H7. Transit L10 Mars was conjunct

transit Rahu in H1. Transit L4 Venus was conjunct natal L6 Jupiter. L1 Moon was opposite natal L10 Mars, which in turn aspected transit L6 Jupiter at 9° Aquarius in H8. By the end of the crisis, transit Ketu had begun to seperate from L8 Saturn. Interestingly, the conjunction of L8 Saturn and Ketu will re-occur at 10-12° Leo in October 2007. Transit L4 Venus will become conjunct transit Ketu and transit L8 Saturn. Transit L8 Saturn will also aspect natal L1 Moon in H11. Natal L10 Mars will aspect transit Rahu in H8, which in turn aspects transit L10 Mars in H12 and transit L3 Mercury in H4, also conjunct natal Ketu. Ve/Ju/Ve period will be operating, with transit L6 Jupiter again at 21° Scorpio afflicting H5, H9 and H1 (as it is now). It would be expected to also be a tense time, but less so than in 1962 as the afflictions in the natal chart are less. Best wishes, Thor
