Dear friends,

Many years ago, when reading the natal chart of then Presidential

candidate George W Bush, commented that the

placement of L1 Moon in H3 in its sign of exaltation and with L3

Mercury on H1 MEP, Bush would be an excellent communicator. At that

time, few astrologers were seeing any positive features in his chart.

Most considered him stupid or politically wrong headed and certainly

unfit for this high office. At that time, was a

rare voice indeed, also when predicting he would win the elections in

2000 and then he repeated the correct prediction in 2004.

If you read the following news story and just focus on the quotes

attributed to President Bush, you will quickly realise why he is so

effective as a communicator. He is simple and to the point. Everybody

understands what he means. It is very effective communication, even

if there is a wide range of views on the matters at hand.

Best wishes,

Bush Vows to Hold Democrats Responsible on Iraq Troop Pullout

By Roger Runningen

March 28 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush attacked the

Senate's $122 billion Iraq war spending bill that insists on a

timetable for troop withdrawal and promised he'll hold Democrats

responsible.

``The clock is ticking for our troops in the field,'' Bush will say

in a speech this morning, according to excerpts released by the White

House. ``If Congress fails to pass a bill to fund our troops on he

front lines, the American people will know who to hold responsible.''

Money for U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan begins

running out in mid-April.

The president's rhetoric reflects an escalation in the confrontation

between the administration and the Democratic- controlled Congress

over lawmakers' attempts to set a deadline for withdrawal of troops.

The Senate voted 50-48 yesterday to pull out most of the 141,000 U.S.

forces from Iraq by March 31, 2008, and attached it to a $122 billion

war-funding measure. The House passed a $124 billion package last

week, setting a deadline of September 2008.

``The bottom line is this: the House and Senate bills have too much

pork, too many conditions on our commanders, and an artificial

timetable for withdrawal,'' Bush will say, according to the excerpts.

``As I have made clear for weeks, if either version comes to my desk,

I will veto it.''

Congressional Votes

The Senate may pass the final bill today or tomorrow, and both house

of Congress must strike a compromise agreement before sending a

single version to Bush. The vote in both chambers indicates Democrats

don't have enough support of override the veto.

``Members of Congress need to stop making political statements,''

said Bush. Lawmakers need to ``start providing vital funds for our

troops,'' he said, and ``get a bill to my desk that I can sign into

law.''

A majority of Americans say they support legislation setting a

deadline for withdrawing U.S. forces from Iraq by next year,

according to a Pew Research Center poll.

Fifty-nine percent of those polled said they want their congressional

representative to vote for a bill that calls for a withdrawal by

August 2008. Thirty-three percent opposed such legislation. The poll

of 1,503 people was conducted March 21-25.

Swift action is needed, because the Senate is scheduled to take a

week long Easter recess beginning at the end of this week. The House

is scheduled for a two-week recess, returning April 16.

Dear Thor,

He's said some pretty stupid things by any measure. That cannot be denied.

The CONTEXT here, is comparison to other US Presidents. Whether his inner

voice is brilliant or not, the PERCEPTION by the world stage, is that the

expressions of this thoughts are left wanting, be it by overload or whatever

mechanism.

The weakness of LO2 and close influence of Ra on H3, Ju and Mo are the

reasons.

Dear Vyas,

It is true his political opponents have tried to make use of some

gaffes he has uttered on a podium or in front of the news cameras.

However, he is also human and has had to comment on a wide variety of

issues, often on the spur of the moment, with little preparation or

not be quite the machine mouth that Clinton is and was, folks are

rarely left wondering what he means. With Clinton, people sometimes

sign of an effective communicator. This quality of Bush, to be an

effective communicator, is to my mind at least, beyond doubt.

Dear Thor,

It's not just his political opponents - there are millions of webpages that

contain his quotes (google: bush quotes; there are +4 million results). So

this is a mass perception issue as well. While people may understand what he

means, we should also note that a caveman can make a very good point by

clubbing his opponent over the head and roaring. 'Back off,' point taken, no

doctorate required.

The credit here is that despite his lack of verbal savvy, it still works.

While the 14 degree Cn is fantastic with Me on H1 MEP, we must account for

the discussed afflictions which take precedence. It's helpful that they are

not exact.

(You mentioned that the Mo is in its sign of ex; it's in Vi)

Best regards,

Vyas Munidas

Dear Vyas,

Indeed, I have seen these web pages. I was referring to what they

show, not how much distribution they have received. It may also be

true that Bush's popularity has suffered becasue of the controversy

of his positions and the vehemence of his opponents, who have tried

to make him look stupid through such gaffes. When all is said and

done, history will take a measure of the man based on his

contribution, and not what the political opponents said in the heat

of the moment.

As for the placement of the Moon, I was speaking about his chart from

memory and erred on the sign containing Moon. In any event, the

exhange of Moon and Mercury, with Mercury strong, is quite helpul.

Perhaps would like to comment on the chart

interpretation.

Best wishes,

Dear Thor,

We can agree that with weak LO2, he may not be the best speaker, but with

strong LO3 and Mo in H3, it makes him an effective communicator, regardless.

Additionally, the 14 Cn chart is good, but as far as I recall, it's one

that's up for monitoring and not at the 100% mark yet? There may be room too

swing it a couple degrees that Me is close and not exact on the MEP1. Please

correct me if I am wrong.

Best regards,

Vyas Munidas

Hello my dear Thor and Vyas,

In view of the operating transit afflictions we have to wait for these to

clear before a true assessment of the communication capabilities of Mr. Bush

can be appreciated. Currently the notable afflictions are (i) transit Rahu

afflicting his natal 2L; and (ii) transit Jupiter is afflicting transit

Saturn and natal Venus.

Best wishes.
