as a spate of fires with many injuries and other problems. Such events

are consistent with the present difficult transits in the SAMVA USA

TROY, Michigan (AP) -- A former accounting firm employee is suspected

of shooting three people at the firm's offices Monday, killing one of

them, officials said. Three hours after the attack, police believed

they had the suspect in custody after a high-speed chase.

firefighters carried others down ladders to safety from a blaze at an

apartment building that injured as many as 53 people, authorities said.
