In January, the government successfully removed then-Speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden, seen as being too close to the government's rivals in a radical Islamic group that had controlled most of southern Somalia, including the capital, for six months. Aden was among those ousted from parliament Tuesday. Somali troops, backed by Ethiopian forces, ousted the Islamic movement in December from Mogadishu and its strongholds. Guest guest
Dear Vyas, Thanks for the additional insight. You are very right, the aspect of Mars to Venus is also challenging for those countries with charts where Mars (and also Venus) becomes functional malefic. However, given its shorter duration, the Mars aspect would likely not have the same magnitude of impact as the aspect of Jupiter to Saturn, where Jupiter (and also Saturn) is a functional malefic. The long standing transit impacts of FMs create cumulative strain that tends to be released with more force. The fact that the different aspects could be explaining the results for different countries, could help to explain the variety of experience, in terms of the difficulty endured. Guest guest
Dear Vyas, In my experience, such aspects have proven quite helpful to evaluate the potential of possible authentic mundane charts for countries. If we take as a given that the impact of the aspect of Jupiter on Saturn would be of a magnitude greater than the aspect of Mars on Venus given the longer duration of the former aspect. Moreover, if we then consider the possible combinations for Jupiter and Mars to be functional malefics: 1. Cancer - Jupiter as L6 and Saturn L8 2. Capricorn - Jupiter as L12 and Saturn as L2 3. Taurus - Jupiter as L8 and Saturn as L10 4. Scorpio - Mars as L6 and Venus L12 5. Taurus - Mars as L12 and Venus L6 6. Virgo - Mars as L8 and Venus L2 it becomes clear that two signs stand out - Cancer and Taurus - for significant adverse events given the aspects involved. We can then check for the connections with the potential charts to see where there are direct connections and where not. This would offer clear guidance for the selection process. Non events, would favour other ascendants or such ascendants with little connection to natal placements. Guest guest
Dear Thor, I saw your point on this, but the only tr-tr aspect that has greatly intensified in the last few days is Ma-Ve; Ju-Sa has been more or less, constant. On the 17th and 18th Apr, Ve came into the 2 degree orb of Mars; all the news stories presented hold these dates. The natal positions and running sub-period are also to be seen. Though interesting to note for future evaluation, it's premature to, within appreciable limits, label those countries as having a FM Ju... in my humble opinion. Best regards, Vyas Munidas - " cosmologer " <cosmologer <SAMVA > Thursday, April 19, 2007 3:07 PM Re: A surge in violence in many countries Dear Vyas, In my experience, such aspects have proven quite helpful to evaluate the potential of possible authentic mundane charts for countries. Guest guest
Dear Vyas, OK, I see where the misunderstanding lies. While I initially was discussing the problems possibly having a link to countries with Jupiter as FM, I later acknowledged the role of Mars as FM. In fact I was suggesting the smaller problems could possibly be linked to charts with Mars as FM. That said, this discussion is perhaps too abstract. It is better to stick to actual charts in the discussion.
