WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Moving closer to a veto showdown with President

Bush, the House late Wednesday narrowly approved a bill funding the

wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that sets a goal of withdrawing U.S.

combat forces from Iraq next year.

The final vote on the $124 billion funding bill was 218-208, with two

members voting present. The tally was largely along party lines, with

just two Republicans voting for it and 13 Democrats voting against.

The Senate will take up the bill Thursday morning, setting up a likely

confrontation with Bush, who has repeatedly vowed to veto any

appropriations measure that contains a timetable for withdrawing troops.

Reacting to the House vote, White House spokeswoman Dana Petrino said

the bill was " disappointing legislation that insists on a surrender

date, handcuffs our generals and contains billions of dollars in

spending unrelated to the war. "

" Tonight, the House of Representatives voted for failure in Iraq, and

the president will veto its bill, " she said in a statement.

hi Thor thanx for the continued analysis how does this action of the legislature reflect on the USA (country) as a whole from the SAMVA USA chart ? how do you see this setback for the executive against progress/regress for the country as a whole from the chart ? any other pertinent points to differentiate the interests of these 2 parties ? thanx in advanceiver cosmologer <cosmologer wrote: Dear list members,This development represents a manifest setback for the US President, consistent with the transits and predictions.Best wishes,ThorHouse passes Iraq withdrawal timetablePOSTED: 1:25 a.m. EDT, April 26, 2007Story Highlights• NEW: House of Representatives pass bill with narrow

Hello Iver,

The Sun represents the Head of State (President) in a mundane chart.

Likewise, Saturn represents the masses, Jupiter the judiciary, Mars

the military and police, etc.

The tenth house and its lord rule the legislature (parliament or

congress), the sixth house rules the political opposition, lord of

the eigth house represents obstacles, obstructions and endings, but

also beliefs of the masses.

In the SAMVA USA chart, Sun becomes L2, Jupiter L6, Saturn L8 and

Mars L10.

At the present time, Sun is afflicted by transit L8 Saturn from H1,

provoking the natal affliction. This suggests plenty of obstructions,

even endings, for the President. More so as transit Mars is afflicted

by transit Rahu in H8. As transit Sun is in Aries, it is weakened by

the affliction of Mars. The Congress and the military are at the same

time being harmed. Bush is turning the spotlight on Congress for

refusing to fund the war in Iraq unless its " unacceptable " conditions

for early withdrawal are met. The President has bluntly said he will

refuse the law by vetoing as it comes from Congress. The military is

being harmed because of the tug of war and ambivalence expressed

about the worthiness of its campaign in Iraq. The transit affliction

of L8 Saturn by L6 Jupiter, and the affliction of L6 by natal L8,

means the political opposition is feeling the heat very much at the

present time. Moreover, the aspects are creating a rift in the

society, due to divisions about what is the correct course. In this

regard, we could infer from the chart that President Bush is likely

having a more favourable influence on the beliefs of the people, than

is Congress, due to the positve aspect of natal Sun on transit

Saturn. However, this is a minor positive for the indications of the

Sun, considering the epic struggle as reflected in the overall

difficult aspects in other respects.

Best wishes,

Thor
