Impact of Saturn in Leo H2 of SAMVA USA chart

Dear friends,

 

I was asked off-list if the presence of Saturn as most malefic planet

(8th lord) in Leo H2 of the SAMVA USA chart would cause difficulty

for the indications of that house.

 

In general, the presence of the most malefic planet (MMP) in a house

will disturb its indications.

 

According to , " the second house deals primarily

with national wealth, status and relationships within the country and

with neighbors. It also rules the purchasing power of the people,

financial stability, national income, strength of currency, budget

and balance of trade. "

 

By comparison, " the eight house rules beliefs of the masses, red-

tapism, speed of execution of works, delays and obstructions,

accidents, fatal accidents, epidemics, gold and precious stones,

legacies, capital gains, floods, earthquakes, cyclones, storms, etc. "

 

Saturn is then the general indicator of " civil servants, low

technology industry and mines. "

 

Given the indications involved, we can expect problems to crop up

when Saturn makes close aspects to natal points, especially of other

functional malefics. Contact with other transit FMs can also cause

problems in that house.

 

The following list shows that there will be a fair amount of contact.

 

* September 2007 - aspect to natal L1 Moon at 7° 26' Cancer

 

* November 2007-January 2008 - within aspect from natal Rahu at 17°

46' Aries H10 and aspecting natal Ketu in Libra H4

 

* August 2008 - under brief aspect from natal Rahu at 17° 46' Aries

H10 and exact aspect to natal Ketu in Libra H4

 

* September 2008 - conjunct H2 and aspecting H4, H8 and H11.

 

* November 2008 - March 2009: under stationary close aspect of natal

L8 Saturn at 26° 46' Scorpio H5

 

* April-July 2009 - stationary and closely conjunct H2 and aspecting

H4, H8 and H11

 

* August 2009 - under brief aspect of natal L8 Saturn at 26° 46'

Scorpio H5

 

Recently, transit L8 Saturn in Leo H2 was in mutual aspect with

transit L10 Mars in Aries H11. This aspect was followed by its mutal

conjunction with transit L4 Venus in Leo H2. Both aspects were

associated with turmoil in financial markets, related to deepening

losses associated with risky real estate loans which emerged earlier

in the year.

 

Interestingly, the conjunction of Saturn and Venus in H2 was

associated with a collapse in a mine in Utha with six miners trapped.

Other mining accidents took place at that time. Venus, as 4th lord in

the Cancer rising SAMVA USA chart, also rules mines.
