Planetary Transits for August 16 – August 22

Sun transits out of Cancer and into its own mooltrikona sign, Leo, August 16 at 23:39 CDT. Sun is weak until August 22; and closely conjunct Saturn until August 27. Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces rising signs should be careful and patient.

Moon is waxing and transits Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. Moon, in Scorpio, is debilitated August 20-22.

Mercury transits out of Cancer and into Leo, August 16 at 06:00 CDT. Mercury is closely conjunct Venus until August 19, and is combust until August 31. Mercury is closely conjunct Ketu, Aug. 20-25.

Mars transits Taurus from 11:46 to 16:06°. Mars is under the aspect of Jupiter until September 1.

Taurus, Cancer, and Capricorn rising signs should be careful and patient.

Venus transits out of Leo and into Cancer, August 19, at 07:47:17 CDT. Venus is closely conjunct Mercury until August 19, Saturn until August 20, combust until August 23, and is retrograde until September 8.

Jupiter transits Scorpio, from 16:05 to 16:21°. Jupiter is under the aspect of Mars until September 1. Taurus, Virgo, and Scorpio rising signs should be careful and patient.

Saturn transits Leo, from 03:49 to 04:43°. Saturn is weak until Aug. 25. Leo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius rising signs can expect significant improvement with partners and relationships; entrepreneurial activities; and health and finances, respectively. Saturn is closely conjunct Venus until August 20, closely conjunct Sun until August 27. Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces rising signs should be careful and patient.

Rahu and Ketu transit Aquarius and Leo, respectively, from 13:05 to 13:08°. Rahu and Ketu remain in the 13-degree range July 13 -- Sept. 16. Persons with rising signs in the 13-degree range, and those with planets in odd signs in the 13-degree range, should be careful and patient.

Note: Whenever Rahu and Ketu are stationary for two to three months, there are major difficulties in the world. Recently, for example, we have seen collapsed bridges, coal mines, and stock markets, along with fires, explosions, tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes.

TRANSITS FOR EACH “RISING SIGN” (Not “Sun sign”):

Aries: Enjoy wealth, status, and good fortune. Focus on publishing, teaching, and advisory roles, along with law, religion, and mystical experiences. Be patient with your spouse, partners, income and friendships.

Taurus: Take it easy. Exercise care and patience. Protect your inheritance, windfalls, and marital bond. There may be losses, expenses, accidents, travel or relocation. Recent workplace problems ease after Aug. 20.

Gemini: Some losses and expenses are possible. Be patient with partners and take care of your health. Focus on education, investments, spiritual journeys, and entrepreneurial activities. Expect improvements after August 21.

Cancer: Be patient with your career and avoid disputes over income. Be careful to avoid fire, theft, enemies, and accidents at work. Recent setbacks at home ease after Aug. 19. Your wealth, status and family life rebound after Aug. 21.

Leo: Take it easy for a few more days. Expect progress and a return of your power after Aug. 21. Invest in your career. There is good fortune with property, fixed assets and home life. Avoid entrepreneurial expenses.

Virgo: Be patient with property and entrepreneurial activities. There may be delays, setbacks or disappointments. Take it easy and do not strain. Consider travel or foreign ventures. Expect gains from late Aug. to late Sept.

Libra: You may be swimming against the stream for a few days. Some losses or expenses are possible, but income and friendships improve after Aug. 21. There may be windfalls through partners or entrepreneurial activities.

Scorpio: Exercise a lot of care and patience before speaking and with regard to your wealth, status and family life. Avoid fire, theft and disputes. Temporarily losses with income and friendships are possible. Your career rebounds after Aug. 21.

Sagittarius: There may be losses, expenses or separations with children and investments. Be patient for another week and then your career, good fortune, and entrepreneurial activities improve. Income and friendships may be soft until late August.

Capricorn: Exercise a lot of care and patience. Losses, expenses, or separations connected with home, property, and family life are possible. Focus on career and partners from late Aug. to late Sept. Expect some windfall after Aug. 21.

Aquarius: Be careful and patient. There may be some temporary delay, setback, accident or disappointment. Focus on gains, income, friendships, home life, and entrepreneurial activities. Good news for your partner is likely after Aug. 21.

Pisces: Exercise a lot of care and patience. Focus on your career and family life. Your health and finances improve after Aug. 21. Tell your partner to be careful. Delays, losses, setbacks, expenses, separations, or accidents are possible.
