Guest guest
Dear friends, We are continously learning in life! One of the first things I learned about aspects in SA is that the closer the orb of an aspect the more intensely it is felt in the life. In other words, an exact aspect with 0° orb is much more intensely felt than an aspect with a 4° orb. This is straight forward enough. Later, I learned the concept about the timing of aspect influence in such a way that an 0° orb aspect would be felt at birth while a 4° aspect would be felt later in life. According to the " 10 year rule, for 1° orb of an aspect it is felt ten years later in the natives life. So, someone with a 4° aspect orb might feel the aspect in their 40s. Later still, I learned that " out of orb " aspects could also become felt later in life. An " out of orb " aspect is greater than the customary 5° orb of SA. Someone with a 6° aspect orb might feel its influence in their 60s. By comparison, in a mundane chart, the impact of an aspect with a 6° orb would be felt in a country after 300 years, based on the " 50 year rule " for mundane charts. It has now been brought to my attention that NATALLY WIDE ORB ASPECTS, which have less influence at the outset compared to close or exact aspects, also HAVE LESS INFLUENCE LATER IN LIFE. Moreover, OUT OF ORB ASPECTS, which are not felt for a very, very long time, HAVE THE LEAST INFLUENCE UPON REACHING MATURITY. As a side note, I now think it better that I refer to such aspects as " reaching maturity " rather than becoming fully felt in the chart. In view of the above, I plan to review my earlier analysis of some of the wide and out of orb aspects in the SAMVA USA chart and revise as necessary the interpretation. Importantly, the revision would only affects the intensity of the impact of the aspect, and not its nature, meaning or expression in the chart. If feels a need to add to this clarification, then that would be all the better. Best wishes, Thor
