What I found really interesting about the study regarding President Kennedy's assassination was the conjunction of transit Venus with natal Saturn in the 5th house ... I understand that Venus represents women folk and the 4th house significations, one being domestic harmony ... I was in the 4th grade at the time but I can remember exactly what I was doing when I got the news ... drawing an apple in art class ... I didn't really have the sense of what this event meant for the country but I knew it would be very hard on my folks, especially my Mother ... my art teacher, when she lived in the eastern US, had personally met JFK through her connections with Jacqueline's family and horse breeding ... I have never forgotten the look on her face when she learned of the news ... she and my Mother were quite good friends ... Given this family background of mine, I decided to go back in time and see how some of the women folk in my family whose charts I have were affected on that day ... they all showed strong connections with death-like experiences (and in the case of mine, death like experience for both Mother and teacher in particular)... in fact I was able to do a bit more rectification with my Mother's chart through this as it reminded me of her strong involvement in President Kennedy's campaign ... she was quite devastated over his assassination as were many people world-wide. This is just one personal example of the effect of the SAMVA USA chart's transit Venus conjunction with it's MMP natal Saturn regarding this great tragedy for the USA, but I did find the connection interesting and helpful. Indeed, those of us who were old enough to experience this event, even from afar, sensed its tragic proportions. Interestingly, my mother, who told me, was visibly shocked by this event. Kennedy was an inspiring figure to many, including her, due to his sponsorship of the Peace Corps. The deep impact and sense of loss may be explained by the fact that while transit L8 Saturn began to seperate from its conjunction with natal L2 Sun in the chart in the wake of the event, the aspect of the transit nodes to the natal nodes continued to be felt until February 1964.
