Hello dear Cosmologer, I think the time zone for Pakistan should be taken as 5 hours and that gives Taurus as ascendant with 1 deg 50' rising in the mid night independence chart of Pakistan. The main period of Venus starts from 31st July, 2007. Venus causes an exact affliction to Saturn in the third house which gave rise to present conflicting situation and the events unfolded in Pakistan in the last four months.

 

Scorpio is the right ascendant for late Ms Bhutto as Mars in 8th house makes her father, her ownself, her elder brother and her younger brother vulnerable to life threatening injuries as Mars from 8th aspects, 11H, 2H and third houses. The rising degree may need a little adjustment here or there.

Only after 30 September 1951 the Time Zone in Pakistan changed from -5:30 to 5:00.

 

Indian Time Meridian (IST)

Allahabad, India

The longitude against which Indian Standard time is set passes through Allahabad, India.

British India did not adopt the international standard time zones until 1905 when the meridian passing through Allahabad at 82.5º east (of Greenwich Meridian

) longitude was picked as the central meridian for India, corresponding to a single time zone for the country at 5 hours and 30 minutes in advance of GMT.

This went into force on January 1, 1906. However, Calcutta time was officially maintained as a separate time zone until 1948. Bombay time was maintained but only informally until about 1955.

After independence and the partition of British India, Pakistan stayed on Indian Standard Time for three years and adopted Pakistan Standard Time at 5 hours in advance of GMT in 1951.

The TZ in Karachi, on 14 August 1947, was 5:30 and not 5:00.

 

To rectify, we need to take that into account.

Hello my dear Jorge, I appreciate your sincere efforts to see the things in right perspective.

 

What I though was that the officials took three years in deciding the time zone appropriate for the country. It is a process and takes time. But for that place the suitable time zone would have been which was later adopted being the appropriate time zone i.e. five hours. So, that is why I thought of exploring the possibility of the chart for Pakistan with five hour time zone. So, now my exploring efforts would also take some time.
