Guest guest
Dear friends, On 29 December 2007, I posted the following article on the blog: Another successful prediction As predicted, there was no year-end rally in the US stock market. The prediction Little chance of a year-end rally in 2007 was published on this blog on December 17, 2007. This assessment was based on a reading of transit influences in the SAMVA USA chart. To read more: http://cosmologer.blogspot.com I attach a graph of the Dow (as an index) for the month of December for the eight years 2000 to 2007. The graph shows that there have been two years in this decade that qualify as bona fide year-end rallies. The stock market rose almost 6% in 2003 and 4% in 2006. There have been other years when the stock market registered a moderate rise in this month, or around 2%, e.g. in 2000, 2001 and 2004. In 2002, 2005 and 2007 the market declined outright in December. This year the decline was 0,4%. In other words there was no year-end rally in the Dow in 2007. The prediction was made on December 17, on the heels of another successful prediction made on December 10 for "Down days in the Dow", when the aspect of transit Ketu to transit Jupiter suggested condition would be so adverse as to pull the market lower. From that point onwards, however, there a number of adverse transits were seen which suggested the mood of investors would remain subuded. In the event, Dow rose some days but then declined towards the end of the month. The net rise from December 17 to 31 was 0,7%. Given the overall picture, that still does not imply a year-end rally. In other words, the prediction was not for an overall decline or an overall rise, but a rather flat market. Clearly, that prediction was realised. Best wishes, Thor Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Dear friends, Just one more point. In the article Little chance of a year-end rally in 2007 on Dec. 17, I wrote: "Fortunately, the aspect of Ketu and Jupiter becomes exact tomorrow and then begins to separate. During coming days the pressure is therefore expected to ease." What happened? The stock market had a partial recovery, before declining again Please refer to the attached table of planetary placements and closing values of the Dow on the respective days. Just so that there is no confusion, please be advised that to predict share prices based on an analysis of transits in a mundane chart is challenging. Nevertheless, such exercises are helpful because the market values offer us a measurable barometer of outcomes. As ever, the objective is to enabe us to better predict the likely influences of the stars in our lives.
