Guest guest
Dear list members, In studying the strength of planets during the month of January 2008, several patterns become evident. As the Sun is presently transiting the sign of Sagittarius, a MT sign owned by Jupiter, its strength for the moment depends also on the strength of Jupiter. Today Jupiter is at 10° Sagittarius, in its own sign and its strength has in recent weeks been undermined by its combustion with the Sun, now at 20° Sagittarius. In the coming days, the combustion will end as the Sun continues to move to the end of this sign. At this time, Sun and Jupiter are both strengthening in transit. They will be in full strength from January 6 to 10. This is good for things ruled by these planets such as the government, the ruler, government ministers, the medical profession, the banking industry, the judiciary, religious institutions and the heads of the church. The strength of the Sun in transit is also important at this time, because it is the dispositor of Saturn and Ketu in Leo, an MT sign owned by Sun. It is also the ultimate dispositor of Rahu, which is in Aquarius, an MT sign owned by Saturn. Hence, the strength of these four planets moves together or is identical at the present time. In coming days the indications of Saturn of working people, civil servants. low-tech and mining industries should do well. The indications of Rahu, such as winemakers, salesmenn and diplomats should also do better. Same would be true for spiritual organisations, monks and nuns, spiritual people and people with long-term mental problems, ruled by Ketu. Sun will move into old age in Sagittarius and then into infancy in the sign of Capricorn (non-MT sign) from 11 to 19 January. It and the planets it disposits will become completely powerless on January 15. This would be a time when the above mentioned indications would be expected to fare less well. It will then regain full strength until February 8, when it moves into old age in Capricorn. The full strength of Jupiter will, however, continue unabated from January 7 to March 23, when it enters old age in its own sign. Another more usual pattern is that the strength of Mercury is frequently affected by its nearness to the combusting power of the Sun. For the time being, however, Mercury is weak in infancy of the sign of Capricorn where it is also receiving an 8-house aspect from Mars in Gemini for some days. It will have moved out of this aspect and into full strength around January 11. Its indications should do better at that time including the computer industry, commerce, business people, information technology industry and transportation industry. Mercury will move into old age in Capricorn from January 23 and then move back in Capricorn, where it will remain through the month of February. Due to its combustion with the Sun, however, it will remain weak in transit in early February. Venus is presently strong in transit in the sign of Scorpio (non-MT sign) and will remain so until it moves into old age on January 17. It will emerge from infancy in the sign of Sagittarius around January 23 and then remain strong until February 8 when it changes signs. Its indications, luxury goods, leisure, travel, parmaceutical, airline and related industries should do well while it is strong in transit. When Mercury and Venus are both strong in transit from January 11-15 and from mid February to early March activities ruled by both these planets, such as software design and architectural design, should do very well. The strength of Mars will weaken progressively throughout the month of January as it moves in retrograde motion further into infancy in the sign of Gemini (non-MT sign) where it will become stationary around 0° Gemini from late January to early February, when it is utterly powerless. During this time, it is moreover under the aspect of Rahu at around 4°-3° Aquarius. Hence, the indications of Mars are likely to suffer during this time. These indications include the police, military, industry, captains of industry and sports people. Large scale industrial companies would be expected to do poorly at this time and even suffer setbacks. Indeed, the aspect of Rahu to Mars became exact on January 3 and the stock market has been in a rout during this time with industrial companies especially hard hit. Mars will not regain its full strength and be free of affliction until early March 2008. Best wishes, Thor Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
