Planetary Transits

for January 10 – January 16

 

Sun transits out of Sagittarius and into

Capricorn, Jan. 14 at 12:38 p.m. CT, and comes under the aspect of

Mars.  This connects governments with military

activity.  Sun is weak until Jan. 19.

 

Moon is waxing and transits Capricorn,

Aquarius, Pisces, and into Aries. 

 

Mars transits Gemini, from 02:56 to 01:20°. 

Mars is retrograde until Jan. 30, weak until Feb. 29, and under the

influence of Rahu until March 11.  (There

can be problems with fire, police, military, executives, property, explosions,

etc.)  Mars remains in Gemini until April

28. 

 

Mercury transits Capricorn from 09:20 to 20:03°, outside the orb of influence of

other planets.  This is good for stocks,

business, writing, planning, and communications.

 

Jupiter transits its mooltrikona sign,

Sagittarius, from 11:09 to 12:43°, outside the orb of influence of

other planets.  This is exceptionally

favorable for law, religion, teaching, banking and good fortune.

 

Venus transits Scorpio, from 18:47 to 27:20°.  Expect an end to the strike by the Writers

Guild of America around Jan. 23.

 

Saturn transits Leo, from 14:10 to 13:51°, and is under the aspect of

Jupiter.  Saturn is retrograde until May

2.

 

Rahu and Ketu transit Aquarius and Leo,

respectively, from 04:09 to 04:10°.  Persons with rising signs in the 4-degree

range, or with planets in odd signs in the 4-degree range, should be careful

and patient.

 

Note: 

The transit of Rahu and Ketu in the horoscope of Senator Barack Obama, are particularly

difficult through the end of March.  This

indicates that he will need to use a lot of care and patience in order to avoid

serious problems or calamities.

 

Transits for each “Rising sign”

(Not “Sun sign”):

 

Aries:  Marriage and partners are vulnerable until

Jan. 19.  Avoid conflict, fire and theft

in the workplace. Exercise care and patience through March 11 to manage your

health, reputation and ambition.  Expect

good fortune in 2008.   

 

Taurus: 

Expect good fortune with your children, education, investments, writing

or publishing.  Be patient with partners,

parents, property and home life. There may be expenses, separations, or

long-distant ventures through March 11. 

There can also be a windfall or marriage during 2008.

 

Gemini: 

Avoid debts or conflicts with your children, education, and investments

through Jan. 19.  Exercise care with your

health and communications through mid-Feb. 

Expect fluctuations with income and friends through Mar. 11.  Marriage or partners are on for 2008. 

 

Cancer: 

Wealth, status, and family life are vulnerable until Jan. 19.  Invest in luxuries or the fine, performing and

healing arts. Put your mental creativity to good use.  Work with your partner on an independent

project.  Be patient with your career

through March 11.

 

Leo: 

 Get rest from now until

mid-Feb.  Avoid debts, conflict, fire and

theft.  Be patient before speaking.  Work out of your home.  Fluctuations with income and friends are

likely through March 11.  Focus on your

children, education, and investments during 2008.

 

Virgo:  Focus on your children, education, investments

and creative projects.  Consider

entrepreneurial activities connected with the fine, performing or healing

arts.  Be patient in the workplace to

avoid conflicts, accidents, setbacks and exhaustion.  Enjoy 2008.

 

Libra:   Focus

on your status and family life, and speak sweetly.  Be creative and entertaining.  Be patient with income and friends through

Jan. 18.  There may be expenses with

property or home life.  Expect fluctuations

with partners through Mar. 11.  Focus on

your own efforts during 2008.

 

Scorpio: 

Be easy with your career through Jan. 18.  There are gains, income and friends through entrepreneurial

activities.  Focus on creativity, and be

patient with expenses or long distant ventures. 

Your status and family life improve in 2008.  Be industrious for the next two years.

 

Sagittarius:  Authority figures are a little weak until

Jan. 18, but expect progress with your career. Be patient with losses and

expenses.  Focus on your children,

education and investments through March 11, and on your health and reputation

during 2008.

 

Capricorn:  Expect good fortune, spiritual progress, and/or

long distant travel.  There are gains,

income, and friendships in your career. 

Be patient with property and home life fluctuations through March

11.  Consider retreats during 2008 and mystical

knowledge for the next two years.

 

Aquarius:  Focus on creativity and the fine, performing

and healing arts.  Be patient with your

marriage and partners through mid-Feb.  Entrepreneurial

activities are likely to be volatile.

Pisces: Expect gains through marriage

and partnerships.  Take care of your

health and finances through Jan. 18.  There

may be some windfall through your father or teacher.  Be careful with your status, speech, and

family life through March 11.  Focus on
