Guest guest
Dear Thor and List, Mitt RomneyMar 12, 1947 9:51 AM +05:00 ESTDetroit, Michigan Longitude: 83W03 Latitude: 42N20 Mitt Romney's chart with its many weaknesses and afflictions makes it difficult for him to attain his party's nomination for U.S. President. For example, look at his leadership as shown by his Sun...it is weak whereas John McCain's Sun is strong. Romney does have a strong L6, Venus, in H9 which makes him financially solvent (he is said to have a net worth of over $200 million). His business instincts are shown by L3 Moon conjunct Jupiter (easy money) on H7 MEP, but he also has spent a considerable amount of his own money to finance his gubernatorial and presidential races. His current subperiod is Ketu which natally aspects his 7th (partnerships--doesn't have the high profile political endorsements that McCain has), 11th (hopes and income--which are diminishing), 1st (name/fame which is fading), and 3rd (initiatives and communication) houses. Last November, stated that November 2008 would give almost no chance of winning elections to Cancer, Taurus, or Capricorn natives because of the transiting Jupiter to Saturn aspect. Will Romney make it that far? As for tomorrow, Super Tuesday, Romney enjoys a strong transiting Sun (L4) and Saturn (L10), the former which aspects transiting Mercury (L5) in 9H and the latter which mutually aspects his natal Mars (L12) and Rahu from H4. So, there could be some immunity to loss and surprise victories. I suspect Ketu's subperiod rulership will diminish these results to some extent. Guest guest
Dear Shayn, The natal potential is very important and it looks like John McCain has a slight edge on Mitt Romney due to many afflictions in the latter's chart. That said, Romney has a loaded 10th house, which makes him strong in the public arena. Also, McCains chart does not strike me as overly convincing as the chart of a future President! For McCain - L4 Jupiter on H3 MEP is strong (aspecting also L8 Mars in H11)- L1 Mercury in H1 - L11 Moon in H5 - L6 Saturn is well placed in own sign and 6th house - L12 Sun is well placed in own sign and 12th house Against McCain - L2 Venus in H12 afflicted by L6 For Romney - L10 Saturn on H3 MEP - L5 Sun in H10 - L6 Mercury in H10 - L12 Mars in H10 Against Romney - Rahu afflicts H1, H5, H7 and H9 - L12 Mars in H10 afflicts Rahu in H1 - Rahu in H1 afflicts L6 Venus in H9 - Ketu afflicts H7, H11, H1 and H3 - L3 Moon in H7 MEP is debilitated and closely conjunct L8 Jupiter (obstacles and endings but also easy gains in business) - L8 Jupiter in H7 afflicts L10 Saturn in H3 (obstacles and endings but also easy gains in career) Tomorrow the triple-transit report for McCain is dour, while it is all smiles for Romney. It therefore looks like Romney nay have an outcome that gives him hope, while McCain has to continue fighting. Of course, there are other candidates and we shouldn´t write any off them off yet, including Huckabee, even if we don´t have a birth time for him. Interestingly, the above charts make me think the Republicans will field a loser in the fall.
