Guest guest
Dear friends, I have updated the comparison of the chart (in the Photos sub-section of the SAMVA web page) showing the Stock market during similar transits. http://ph.SAMVA/photos/view/6ee3?b=1 As in 1949, the transits of Jupiter and Saturn are similar, in that Jupiter as 6th lord is now transiting Sagittarius and 6th house of the SAMVA USA chart, while 8th lord Saturn is transiting the sign of Leo and 2nd house. While the other transits are different, as well as period, it is of interest to see if there is any similarity in the performance of the stock market. What we do see is that there is clear similarity in the stock performance, but that the stock market is quite a bit weaker at this stage in the transit of Jupiter in 2008 than it was in 1949. This may be explained by the additional factors such as - In 1949 a Moon sub-period was operating, but now the chart is running the Jupiter sub-period. Natal Jupiter is a functional malefic in the chart, having to do with financial stability (or problems with the same) while the natal Moon is a strong and well placed 1st lord of self and fame, under aspect from 10th lord Mars. - transit 10th lord Mars being in the 12th house and having in the first two months of the year been under the close influence of transit Rahu in the 8th house. - transit 4th lord Venus, along with 3rd lord Mercury, has been under the aspect of natal 8th lord Saturn in recent days and is about to enter the 8th house in the chart. The worries about the housing situation have increased at this time. In any event, such research is interesting and potentially of value. At minimum, it shows that there is a similiarity between the stocks and the transits of the slow moving planets, even if there are also differences related to additional factors as mentioned above.
