Guest guest
Dear friends, Yesterday, Barack Obama beat Hillary Clinton in the Missisippi Democratic Primary, getting 61% of the vote against her 37%. With 18 delegates against her 12, his lead in the overal delegate count has widened to 1600 over 1484. 2025 are needed to win. Obama therefore needs 425 more delegates to clinch the nomination while Clinton needs 539 more delegates. I recall my prediction at the beginning of the year, that the transits in the SAMVA USA chart suggest the Democratic National Convention in late August 2008 will be especially stressful/eventful. One could imagine a scenario where BO and HC would be battling it out to the very end, but there could be many other outcomes as well. Time will tell what form the tension takes. http://cosmologer.blogspot.com/2007/12/samva-usa-chart-political-tensions.html http://cosmologer.blogspot.com/2007/12/year-ahead-for-usa.html Best wishes, Thor Democratic Primary Results Tuesday, March 11 Real-time Race Results: Updated March 12, 2008 - 10:54 AM (all times Eastern Standard)Precincts Reporting 100% Candidate Votes Vote % Delegates Projected Winner Obama 253,453 61% 18 Winner Clinton 154,989 37% 12 Candidate Delegates Biden 3 Clinton 1484 Dodd 3 Edwards 32 Gravel 0 Kucinich 0 Obama 1600 Richardson 3 Looking for last minute shopping deals?
