Guest guest
Dear friends, In all the hoopla over the situation in the US financial market we have perhaps not followed so closely what has been going on with the dollar. Well it has literally slumped in recent weeks, and not least today. It was down around 4% in 2007, but since the beginning of the year has fallen around 10%. This is a major drop in such a major currency. In 1999, said the importance of the Sun and Moon (power of the state) and the 2nd (wealth and status) and 11th (income) lords were the key indactors for the strength of the currency. The many aspects, earlier enumerated, since early 2008 apply to an analysis of the strength of the US dollar in the SAMVA USA chart (see attached). Presently the conjunction of transit 6th lord Jupiter and natal 4th lord Venus is contributing along with the bad placement of 3rd lord Mercury, 4th lord Venus and 10th lord Mars. However, the passage of the Sun as 2nd lord through the 8th house of the chart an presently its affliction in the 9th house by natal Jupiter in the 5th house along with the affliction of natal 1st lord Moon in the 11th house by transit 8th lord Saturn in the 2nd house. In short, there have been a host of bad afflictions and weakness in transit that have undermined the currency along with the financial market - and the two may have been interlinked in the collapse of Bear Sterns. Looking ahead, with Sun regaining strength and the fast moving FB emerging from the 8th house, and Mars also coming out of the 12th house, the dollars fortunes should improve quite a bit. However, as the aspect of Saturn to Moon becomes closer in April, we have to watch the impact this will have on the strength of the dollar. It may serve to hold back the recovery, at least into early May. May and June may then be fairly good months, even if it will take the financial markets a long time to recover from the difficulties being experienced at present.
