Guest guest
Sir, I m studying Saravali , in fact i m reviewing what i i have studied earlier, I have a confusion, Saravali Says - 1. Should the Sun be in a Sign of Mars and be aspected by Mercury, the subject will be a servant, will do others jobs, will not have much wealth, be devoid of strength, be subjected to much grief and will possess a dirty body. 2. The Sun in a House of Mercury and in aspect to Mars denotes, that the subject will have fear from enemies, will be encountered by quarrels, will be grieved on account of loss in a war, be poor and bashful. If I compare both the statements, the combination is consisted of 3 planets and signs - Sun, Mars, Mercury but we get different results. Sir, pls. suggest how to understand the reasoning or philosophy behind the differences. we can cram the result but that wont make us good in astrology. regards,Lalit,
Guest guest
As mentioned by me in an earlier post it is not always possible for me to find logic behind the results mentioned in books.I had mentioned in that post about the alternative of looking at the relevant results from one's reference books when determining the result of a combination of planets. Guest guest
Dear Lalit, When one reads astrological texts one has to understand that the yogas are to be understood to fructify subject to other things mentioned in the texts. They can not be read in isolation. The primary difference between the two yogas is that in one case Sun occupies house of a friend and gets aspect of its enemy and in other case it is vice-a-versa. Again in first instance the aspecting planet is a Saumya (Benefic) planet whereas in the second it is a Krura one. However this is without reference to lagna. Now if the Lagna is Aires and Sun occupies Aries, by reason of 5th lord occupying the Lagna there will be a raj yoga, in the first instance. Keep this in mind when reading yogas. Guest guest
Dear Sir, I m trying to understand what gets presidence, placement in a sign or aspect of a sign. in the case 1. Sun is in Aeries and aspected by Mercury (Saumya yet Enemy) so the native is like a servent. Should i understand aspect is more powerful, if it's so, when ? 2. Sun is in house of mercury (say Virgo Enemies house) and aspected by Mars (Friend yet Malific and Kroor), Now the native is not servant but only a person troubles by enemies. Or, in case 1. Sun is bit stronger as placed in Mar's signs, so , no fear and trouble from enemies. but aspected by an enemy therefore job is not of high status. whereas in case 2. Sun is weak coz placed in enemi (Mercury's) house but aspected by Mars (War loving) therfore struggle with enemies and loss on account of such a war. Does it mean, vaguely, Placement in a sing has little more importance than aspect, or in other terms, aspect is a regulating factor whereas placement in a sign is deterministic factor, it's more clear if lagna is also involved. M i thinking in right direction ... ? regards, Lalit. Guest guest
What do you mean by aspect of a sign.Probably you mean aspect by a planet. As for ur question, placement in a sign will give its own results and aspect of a planet its own. However what the results of the combination are going to be is sometimes difficult to decipher. That is why it is said that it takes the best part of 25 years to know astrology.Till one understands it is better to refer to books when resolving a question, like all other professionals do. Guest guest
Dear Sir, Why 25 yrs for us, Are u not readily available to us with ur's experince and sharp vision, will it not reduce 25 yrs to 2.5 yrs, With the current flowing from source to object (bulb), why it will take that much time. I hope after some 3 yrs we will be able to take on to so called icons of astrology, who as u said, are just complicating astrology by discovering one secret parampara each day with no proof of authenticity and then stretching it to explain one or two horoscopes in some book. I dont understand why big authors dont write that this event or this point in one's life can't be explained clearly, if they do so with the hints, things can be understood better ways. Luckily, they have got " Bhavat Bhavam " sutra to keep stretching and other thing is mixing Gemini with Parashaara. This is what i saw and understand as of now. regards, Lalit. Guest guest
To understand and come to a conclusion about the final result is an art which needs great refinement.Nobody else can give this art to you.It comes only with years of experience,by seeing thousands of horoscopes etc.So my friend two and half years is very little time.Taking on icons does not mean learning astrology. You cannot learn with confrontation in ur mind. What you have mentioned about astrologers never agreeing that they cannot explain a particular event etc is absolutely right.Yes,astrologers always try to be Mr.Know alls or Mr.Cure alls, probably because they get more respect from their clients that way.As against that u will see top lawyers or top doctors many times agreeing that they cannot do much about a particular case.I have had occasion to discuss this issue with many learned people. The unanimous opinion was that this may be because most professional astrologers are people who have otherwise been very unsuccessful in life.It is mostly the case that when somebody can do nothing else in life he becomes a professional astrologer, probably because it needs no professional qualification to do that.As a result they suffer from a deep inferiority complex. It is possibly this complex which drives them tp potray that they know everything.
