Procedure to select the 1st alphabet of a child's name

Dear Javed,

 

One has to look at the nakshatra charana occupied by Moon at the time

of birth and then name the child according to the letter associated

with that nakshatra charana. If you get hold of any Panchanga (hindu

almanac) you can get the letters associated with the nakshatra

charanas, there.

Dear Chandra Sir, Thanks a lot.My elder daughter is 14 years old and younger is 4 years.Earlier we named them.But since I am getting knowledge of jyotish,I am planning to select their names in light of jyotish,I have to change all my four children,it is not an easy task from municipality to school record,but me and my wife are mentally prepared,if I have any confusion I will bother you again. Dear Javed,

 

I think you have to understand the reason that the names were in

accordance to the nakshatra charanas. though nothing is mentioned about

the reasons, I think the reason was to make it easy to identify the

Moon rasi of the querist, who did not have his chart when he approached

the astrologer, to within 3 degrees 20 minutes of arc of the zodiac

as a Nakshatra charana is over that angle of the arc. This made it easy

to predict about such a querist on the basis of current transits.

 

So I think you need not go through the whole process of changing the

names of your children as that is quite a lengthy procedure. You could

perhaps use that knowledge when naming your grandchildren. In India

people keep one name according to the Nakshatra charana and it is

called Janma naama. And then they keep other name of the child which is

not related to Nakshatra charan but is used to actually call him and

also entered in all records.This name is called prachalita ( that in

use) name. That way identification of nakshatra charana at birth is

possible when the child tells its Janma naama and the parents can call

the child by the name they like.

Really a wonderfull explanation on names. Really everything invented

by Rishi Parashar cannot be defined with reasons. The Divine vision

of Parashara is required to know the reasons. We cannot know. He was

able to see this world from many many dimensions not like us who are

able to see this world with only four dimensions.

 

So reasons for each work by Parashara cannot be understood by us. We

have no such a diving power or sadhana or vision.

 

But Rishis like you are able to understand and explain a little bit

too and enlighten us on such topics.

Sir,here a vedic jyotish on TV advising the public to select the first alphabet of the name of child by lagna lord not from Rasi (moon),his plea is that ascending sign will be stable while the moon changes his position through out the month. Dear Javed,

 

I think the astrologer, there, is making some mistake. Lagna changes

every 2 hours (approx. depending on the latitude) whereas Moon changes

rasi every about 2 and 1/4 days. So you can make out what is more

stable. Anyway, as I explained, the reason for the names having to be

in accordance to the letter allotted to nakshatra charanas was to be

able to analyze gochar with respect to Moon sign.

 

I shall try to find the mail and answer, soon.
