## First Confusion - Lagna and Rashi ##

Dear All Members of the Group, All the Guru's of the Group,

 

I wish to share my curiosity and doubt with you, Pls. u all respond to

this very basic confusion in astrology. I find roots of my doubts in

the description of native's nature, personality traits, color etc..

given with the help of rashi sings as well as given with the help of

lagna.

 

Like if a person is Libra Scorpio/Lagna born and another person is

Scorpio/Libra (moon sign) born, the description remains more or less

same, like color, height, nature etc.. given with the help of lagna

and with the help of moon sign, it looks ambigous to me, what

differences/similarity both should carry.

 

Pls. post ur's views on this matter, how a moon sign may indicate one's

personality, nature, height, color etc... where is the key to difference

or similarity, how it differes with that of Lagna.

It is simple. Lagna is like a mirror without any contamination -

what is there in the sign reflects through it. But even though moon

is similar it contaminates/modifies the results to an extend with its

softness/female/watery nature. You will see this if you go through

the slokas that describes results for Lagna in a some particular

sign, or Moon in some particular sign.

Note: As far as your usual expectation of 'explain it with charts'

is concerned, I don't have that much time and patience - do it

yourself and see.

Dear Srinadh,

 

Thanx for the reply, pls. consider we have books with us and we can

see shlokas, the effort is to end up controversies and doubts with

the help of real life examples. I dont think remembering 1000 shlokas

is greater than remembering 900 shlokas, what is important is how

accurate we are in understanding a case in the hand.

 

We also know the interpretition given for lagna and moon sign, I

wanted to know what are the differences there in lagna say Libra and

moon sign.

Dear Lalit,

 

My opinion is that Lagna gives a better idea of a person's physical

features and Rashi ( Chandra lagna) gives better idea of his thought

patterns. Of course this is my personal opinion and others could hold a

different view.
