Procedure to select the 1st alphabet of a child's name

Hello Sir(s), Kindly give your opinion,what steps we have to select the 1st alphabet of the name of a child. In my knowledge,it should be selected from Ascending Lord,like in my elder daughter case,her Asc Lord is Taurus/Venus and Rasi Lord is Aries/Mars.
