Today she passed away at 3:30 p.m. and I will be further unavailable for the next year due to family obligations etc..I wish to impart one small thing before I go though. While I am not happy about the passing of my mother, I am highly satisfied that my mother is no longer in suffering and pain. She expired very peacefully in my arms as I prayed for her. I did everything that I could possibly do for her, I took care of her for the last four years as she became progressively more ill. I did extensive prayers, I got the best foods and medicines and I attentively saw to all of her needs until the end. When my mother died in my arms I felt her go with peace not pain. What I wish to impart is that this was a golden opportunity for me !In Hinduism we are taught that the mother is the first Guru (teacher) and islikened onto God on Earth as she is the bearer of your life. This gift of life is adebt one can never ever repay. My mother was my best friend and companion,I shall miss her terribly but I will always cherish the memory of the greatest ofall treasures I ever had. In conclusion, I urge you ALL to pay attention to your parents and to your family, you may not have the same golden opportunity I did. Make hay while the sun shines so that you have no remorse, regrets or bitterness. Most people take their siblings and parents for granted, it is only on the day that you lose a sibling or parent you will realize what you have lost.Learn to love and cherish your family !Namah Sivaya Best RegardsPandit Devindra Maharaj Never miss a thing.
