Stationary Mars

Hi All, I am sure all of you are aware that Mars is retrogade

nowadays in the sign Gemini.In fact it has been so since 16th

November.It will continue in retrogade motion till 31st January

2008,when it will be at the first degree of gemini and then continue

in forward motion in the sign gemini.Thus it will be seen that Mars

will traverse the same portion of the zodiac the second time in quick

succession in Feb 2008 and onwards.It is mentioned in all astrological

texts that a planet which traverses the same portion of the zodiac in

quick succession after gaining forward motion from retrogation is very

strong in giving results.Thus it appears that the earth is going to

experience strong results from the violent and incendiary Mars from

Feb 2008 onwards.In fact western astrologers in this context of

retrogation and revised forward motion suggest that such planet gives

the strongest results when stationary.I find from the ephemeris that

Mars will practically be stationary from the 29th January to 3rd

February.Thus in conclusion it would appear that violent phenomenon

should be expected on earth during the period from 29th January to 3rd

February and also till the 5th of April that is when Mars reaches the

18th degree of Gemini from which point it had turned retro.Now the

question may be asked as to what kind of phenomenon and where on

earth.Well gemini is an airy sign and represents the western

direction.So i was wondering whether there is the possiblity of air

strikes somewhere in the west,more air accidents than average etc.The

question may be asked as to why Mars should be expected to give only

malefic results in Gemini,why not benefic.The answer is simple,for

Mars the sign gemini is an inimical sign,besides Mars being naturally

malefic.What is more is that for Gemini ascendant,mars is 6th lord and

11th lord both relating to injury.That should explain the malefic

nature of the results.However some would say that with the aspect of

the great benefic Jupiter,Mars may not be expected to act so

malefic.In fact at some stage during this movement of Mars it will

also be aspected by venus from Sagittarius.However the point to be

noted is that it is mutual or opposing aspect and Jupiter and venus

will also be aspected by Mars in return.So Chandra,what should one

make out of all this.I would love comments from all members on this

Rup if you look now, mars is aspect ed by sun and Jupiter. for Leo,

Aries and Sagittarius. they are lord of 1,5 and 9. So there should be

some auspicious events hpng for these folks.(Incl you)

Mars is pretty weak in Gemini. but being aspect ed by Guru, the impact

will be on Guru/Bud ha or Brahmin's or religious/spiritual people or

students or banks or sub prime loans or commercial activities or

justices or financial institutions. ( esp its aspect on Virgo (

finance) and Sagittarius ( justice department) ,Capricorn)

If you take Around 10am , aug 14,1947 as Pakistan's independence ,

when Jinnah raised the flag of Pakistan. you get Virgo lagna and Mars

is in Gemini. (Military domination). USA is also a Gemini country.

primary election (dominated by lawyers and religious) may be decisive.

There is a possibility of general elections in India also.

Dear Shri Baqaya,

here's a mail i had written in the KNRao Group which i later fwd to

the Jyotish Group too, later on 18th May, 2006.

This refers to the matter under discussion per your mail.

similar were my thoughts that it could all lead to some air mishaps

around this crucial time, mars being in gemini.

only time will tell what type of event will unfold now in the coming

months taking into consideration other crucial planets transiting in

6/8 or 2/12 from such sensitive planets.

dear members,

i am reading with interest about the outbreak of war or some

calamity when saturn and ketu meet in leo. saturn and mars meetings

are also not to be taken lightly.

micheal, mars is in 27 and odd degrees in gem. or am i missing

something here.

saturn is at 12 and odd in karkat.

there's a bloodbath at the stock markets today.

looked to me as if saturn while having all the fun in the deep

waters in karkat finds that mars is about to share the pool with him

very soon, (18th june 2006). and even before he could wet his feet

there's this hell breaking loose at the stock exchanges across the

globe! with two fiery planets in deep waters its going to be some

celestial swishing and stirring up of storms across the

globe!

will the waters of karkat cool these two fiery planets or get heated

up instead. all those inactive volcanoes in and around large water

bodies are going to get active, during the coming month around 18th

june. there may be fireworks, but there's some consolation that

there's enough water at hand to douse the fire, just in case..!

having met in karkat they promise they will meet again in leo

sometime during next year. saturn is keen on mid october of 2007 but

mars being still tied up with things in gemini but not quite sure

whether he should displease saturn requests ketu to proxy for him

while deciding to join a little later.

alas mars has some pressing jobs to be taken care of in gemini (from

18th sept '07 to april '08, fairly longish period, hmm looks ominous

to me, hope mars does not spoil the 'airy' house significations of

mercury) so he will not know what transpired between ketu and saturn

until he and ketu meet up in karkat around 17th june 2008 to

exchange notes.

mars the army commander needs time for planning ahead what he wants

to do when he meets up with saturn in leo on the 11th july, 2008 so

he fixes such a place as ketu's homeground in makha as some

consolation for ketu personally not being present during this

dreaded meeting of 2 firebrands in an equally fiery rashi.

lets hope they dont stir up anything serious as jupiter, though

retrograde in his own house, in another fiery sign dhanus, casts his

benign aspect on the house owner sun, by his direct and his ninth

aspect on the two mischievous tenants in leo.

let mankind keep its fingers crossed for good luck.

Dear Rup,

This is really an excellent post. You are right on re-entry to earlier

sign, or position, the effects are more prominent. The results of Mars

opposing Jupiter do indicate Unmada and so we can see many terrorist

attacks, people going berserk and killing for no reason etc. That is

certain. At the time Mars is also aspected by Venus we may see crimes

of passion or crimes like rapes followed by killings etc. It is also

possible that water reservoirs or oil fields could become targets of

the extremist elements.

I would think that for collision in air or air attacks, it is more the

Saturn - Mars connection that may be required.
