Guest guest
Dear Group, We are aware of kuta based horoscope match making system for couples, I was trying to have a look into the theory of Kuta based match making , And came up with this write up with emphasis on the point of attraction and karmic bond, How we can ascertain who w'd attract whom, and the attraction w'd become a bond ? To understand the level of attraction, I think following should be taken into account - 1. Varna : Varna in Ashtkoot matching reflects about the egoism of the person . It has 1 point. 2. Vashya : Vashya in Ashtkoot matching reflects attraction & affection between the prospective partners. It has 2 point, is based again on the Moon sign compatibility 3. Yoni Kuta (4 points) measures sexual compatibility, and is based on matching the various animals that are represented by the 27 Nakshatras. 4. Mahendra (no points given) is an indicator of progeny and longevity of the relationship, and is measured by the relative position of the two Moon Nakshatras. 5. 2nd house in a couple's chart, 2nd house is the house of attraction, the point of first sight attraction, once it activates, other subtle level of attraction starts functioning which leads to a noticeable physical attraction and emotional attachment then spiritual bonding i.e. the togetherness. 6. The support for the planet of love and comfort, Venus and Jupiter.7. A mutual influence between the sexual planets Mars and Venus.8. The influence of the nodes Rahu – Ketu , particularly with Ascendant, It may surpass other factors if there is strong karmic bonding is present, A relation has to happen in such a case. 9. When there is a connection between the couple's Lagna, Jupitor and moon is not extreme against, either by conjunction or opposition, there is usually good rapport and a warm connection between the partners Sometimes, it's seen that two horoscope with low Kuta Points, creates stronger bond whereas there are cases of separation and estrangehood in horoscopes of couple with high Kuta points, So, what we are missing, Harness, Dennis suggests a deficiency in the score of certain Kutas can help identify where the energy blocks exist in the relationship. This is where Astrological Counseling from a qualified Vedic astrologer becomes a must for keeping a relationship moving with good chemistry of married life. For example, if Mars in the female chart and Venus in the man's chart are in the same sign, then there is likely to be a strong sexual attraction and a happy married life. Likewise, if the 7th lords of each partner are favorably placed to each other, such as 5/9 or 3/11, or even conjoined, then this could be an indicator of marital harmony but this is not the single criteria. In addition, one can look at the relative positions of all the grahas and Ascendant to see if these influences are mutually compatible (e.g. 5/9) or `challenging' (such as the 6/8 relationship). One should also compare friendliness of the Ascendant lords in the couple's rashi chart, Chandra Lagna and Venus Lagna charts, and Navamsha charts. Mars placed in houses 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and 12 (Mangal Dosha) is said to bring many problems to marital relationships (unless the other person has the same affliction), since in this position it afflicts the houses of home, happiness, marriage, sex and family life. Some astrologers regard any malefic (particularly Saturn) in these positions as causing disturbance to marriage, while others also look at Kuja Dosha from the Moon and from Venus One must not overlook the Navamsha chart. It is said to be the chart of `the spouse' because the 9th divisional chart relates to the 9th house, and hence to our soul or `inner person', our divine purpose. In fact, as one matures, both in age and spiritually, the Navamsha chart is said to become more and more evident in the life of the person An alternative system for measuring compatibility has been recently described by Arastu Prabhakar in The Times of Astrology, in which 6 factors are considered, each scoring 6 points, giving a maximum total of 36 points. The 6 factors are:(1) Matching of the Ascendant, Lagna lords and Rajayogakaraka planets in the two charts. (2) Matching of the 7th house and 7th house lords. (3) Matching of the natural significators for marriage. (4) Matching of the 7th houses from the Moon, and their lords. (5) Matching of the 7th houses from Venus.(6) Overall influence on the 7th houses in each chart. So, the conclusion is, Instead of just rushing to find the Kuta Points in match making and deciding the fate of a relationship, The Kuta System can be used to identify where there is a blockage in the energy flow between two individuals in a relationship as said by Dennis Harness and other western astrologers. Note : This is not my own discovey, I collected information from various source, tried to understand and now presenting to the group, I took some 12 days to prepare this posting. regards,Lalit.
