Guest guest
Namaskar RKDa, A thoughtprovoking mail (in your inimitable style) Some thoughts: (i)Shri Ramanarayanji has bought out the esoteric significance of the Symantaka Jewel legend very well in my opinion (ii)Lord of 9th in the 12th can indeed be good from the point of view of Father (Considering 9th of natural zodiac as Dhanur Rasi,Guru will be placed in own house in the 12th). If aspected by Ketu, this can give spirituality of a highorder (subject to the chart supporting spirituality of course) (iii)I found your reference to JP as a 'High-Hat treatise' interesting (to put it mildly).Could you eloborate on this point ?? (iv)Surya in the 10th, does tend to make one fickle in my experience. Unless Guru aspects,it can be a case of 'I,Me,Myself' for the Jataka !! (v)In my experience,Mangal in the 10th functions really well (There are downsides to this position also like short temper, possibility of loss of the first child etc) This thread has the potential to open up new vistas on esoteric jyotish (Here I go again) !! We on the sideline try to steal some light you (the latter) have been trying to shed. The bejewelled light of analysis has not yet touched our 'dhee', alas. We have seen enough of hidden clues in this, that and the other thing. We will try this jewel (of a clue) on, too. But does the argala cap fit? If it does, we will wear. Ramanujacharya goes on to extend 'the karaka in 12th rule' further. He in a later verse talks of 9th lord being in 12th boosting the 9th hse prospects. What he means here is that the native will be fortunate with regard to that relative sigified. If I remember correct, it goes somehting like 'pitru (etc) bhagyamudirayet' Another point. Jataka Parijata, for example, assigns karakatwa of 10H to Sun, Mercury and and Saturn. (J.P. is a high-hat treatise.) Why should not Sun behave like itself when in 10th? Why like Mercury (alone)? Well, see if this clue helps here. To Sun, one is son, the other 'constant' comapnion. But I am cagey about clue-mongering, where we may not be able to cap the logic neatly. We will give you a further leg -up if you want to chase the Symantaka Mani. By the way, there is a whole chapter given over to astronomy-astrology in Bhagwad Purana. And lovely clues they are. Nothing corruscating (or tortuous) about them though. Lucid and soft. Isn't that so, Lalit?
