Dear Sanjay,

Namaste

> Bharminder, Adrusya and drusya simply means visible and hidden.

This is easier to understand if you walk out in an open field and

look at the sky. The horizon in the eastern side where the sky and

earth meet is Lagna and the opposite in the western end is the

descendant or 7th house cusp. The vertical up when you look up is the

tenth house. So, which houses are visible in the sky? This is the

half from the Lagna to 7th cusp in the reverse direction. This is the

meaning of Drusya and Adrusya.

In case of the rasi chart this makes perfect sense however in case of

the divisional charts how do we measure the the start and ending of

the drusya and adrusya halves.

> I really didn't get the idea of incorporating this in shadripu. Did

you mean visible and hidden shadripu? If so, then you are 100% right.

The sins that are hidden are in the adrusya sign while those that are

in drusya sign shall be visible/ others get to know of it. Of course

where to start counting the houses from in this context is another

issue.

Since the lagna represents the satyapeeth and the seventh the

mayapeeth my understanding(maybe wrong) was that the houses 7 to 12

would represent weakness that would distract the mind. The adrusya

half (houses 1 to 6) on the other hand would indicate the ability to

withdraw the senses and control the weakness/suffering.

For example the house 7th from any house represents the opposition to

the house. For example the 11th would represent gains whereas the 5th

would represent the viveka by which mada can be controlled.Similarly

the 4th represents the ideals which can influence the actions or curb

the moha.

However the above is based on my limited knowledge and I would be

grateful if you could correct me.

regards

Bharminder
